Film Reviews: Five high school buddies pact to videotape their sexual conquests in the Finnish "The Young Gods." Well crafted by Prix-Italia winning TV helmer Jukka-Pekka Siili ("Juulia’s Truths"), this fast-paced drama has some psychological nuance but is primarily of commercial intent. It skirts teenage soft-core with a Heavy Dose of moralizing to balance the film’s titillating subject and substantial amounts of nudity. In the end, it reveals little about the emptiness of today’s teen soul struggling to connect with the opposite sex. Northern Euro auds may go for the film’s beautiful-and-damned fantasies, after which it should have some video life.
