ACE Eddie Awards 2004: Why multi-cam laffers gripe While veteran TV editor Ron Volk has won the American Cinema Editors’ half-hour series award four out of the six times he’s been nominated, he’s not optimistic this year. "When I’ve won, it’s been in a year where there is an absence of single-camera comedy nominations," says Volk, who first won Eddie acclaim in 1991 for his work on CBS’ "Brooklyn Bridge," and has won three more times for cutting "Frasier" (’98, ’99, ’00).
