`Inherit the Wind' playwright Jerome Lawrence dies at age 88

Jerome Lawrence, a playwright and director whose plays include the classic courtroom drama ``Inherit the Wind,'' died on Sunday at his home in Malibu, said his niece, Deborah Robison. He was 88.
