Legit Reviews: Many have tried to make Henry Fielding’s frisky 18th century novel "Tom Jones" come alive onstage, but with little lasting success. In this American preem, Brit composer George Stiles tries it with music. Despite some inventive staging and a game cast, the effort is done in by a speedy but undistinguished book, a pallid score and a leading man who fails to seduce.
