Allison Hartsoe is a speed junkie. Whether she’s on her Suzuki GS 500 or her K2 Power Extreme, this fearless Manager of Communications at Galt Technologies of Pittsburgh, PA goes for the gusto. Allison is a very active member of the Pittsburgh In-Line Skate Club, and has also gained recognition outside of Pittsburgh on her skates. In 1995, she won the Women’s 25-35 division of the 38-mile distance of Athens to Atlanta. She will undoubtedly go back this year to make a run at the full 85 miles. She also enjoys skating the ramps at ShadySkates, a local skateshop, where she can be seen dropping in on the half-pipe and catching some major air. Her favorite activity on in-lines is to get a pack together and zoom down golf course hill at Schenley Park. She got her first motorcycle, a Honda CM 400 on a bet and was hooked on the rush that the bike offered. She especially enjoyed the time when her throttle got stuck at 75 m.p.h.!
Allison has been involved in many sports-you could say that she is an all-around athlete who is willing to try just about anything. She is a ski instructor at Seven Springs. Her most memorable ski trip was accidentally skiing a world cup course in Austria. She also enjoys running, mountain biking, kayaking, whitewater rafting, mountain climbing and caving. She has also dabbled in figure skating, and likes to "catch big air" on the ice. No matter what Allison does, she does it with more intensity than most testosterone driven guys!
