Materials
1 see thru bic lighter
1 pin ( sewin pin)
1 thin guitar string( i would use an E string)
1 nine volt.. or two nine volts batterys
Small cup or something to keep the fluid in
Procedure
1. take the bic lighter and empty it out.. into the small cup or container ( get back to me on how to empty it.. cant remeber) make sure it is all out i would advise u clean it off with water and a dry towel. then put this Aside for later
2. heat up the pin with an extra lighter until it is red hot and stick it through one of the side of the lighter until the needle is al the way through
3. now feed the E guitar string through this newly formed tunnel and use clay or silly putty around where the string and the lighter meet to keep the fluid in.
4. now fill it back up with the lighter fluid and make sure there is no leaks or drips, and take this to a place where u want to have no brush and good privacy.. but remember clean up before you leave!
5. Now take this bomb thing to the predetermined area and lay it on the ground connect the two wires to the positive and negative parts of the battery and u get a nice fireball from it
Troubleshooting
Mine wont Explode!
Make sure that the guitar string in the inside goes through the lighter fluid
What if i dont have guitar string?
look for a low gauge speaker wire.. that should do the trick.

Jun 24, 2005 10:57 pm - Nice try, but no. First off, I do not know if you can just empty one of those cheap lighters. If you poke a hole in the container, all the gas would rush out. Yes you see the liquid, but that is the gas under pressure so it because a liquid. So once you empty it, it is gone. Secondly, it is probally impossible to even fill it up again. 2*.
Jun 24, 2005 11:07 pm - ^^definatly not impossible. if you cut the top of the plastic off with a hacksaw, then empty the fluid into a cup. fill it back up with the fluid, or if the fluid evaporates, use gasoline or something else flamable, and then epoxy the top back on after you seal the rest of it up. i think it would work.
Jun 25, 2005 1:49 am - i hate to say it.. but defilers got a point.. not only is it almost imposible to open, once you do, its going to spray all over the place and probly get lighterfluid all over everything..
mabee if you did this with a bic pen or something....
un 25, 2005 6:24 am - uuuh guys....its not lighterfluid in there....in most bic lighters its filled with butane...a rapidly evaporating gass...not to say this cant work...it will but you have to do sumthin different...instead of emptying it....just poke a hole in it while the flid is still there...tip it upside down and make the hole tawrds the bottom...then cover it with clay...it will still explode cus it will fill teh chamber with fumes...tehn elave a puddle of burning liquid butane....good egg u just made a small mistake...4*
Jun 25, 2005 10:48 am - Passing electricity a wire submerged in the liquid gas Butane, would not explose it because there would be no spark. But I’m still gonna give you 3 stars because it’s inspired me to make a version of this that would work.
Jun 25, 2005 9:40 pm - it actually is very possible to refill the lighter....as long as the seal around the hole for the wire is sealed very well...all u gotta do i unwist the nozzle where the gas comes out just like u would to make the flame bigger, and take out the long plastic thing..the screw the nozzle back on, hold down the button, and use a butane refill can on the nozlle ...the same way u make and refill a flamethrower lighter

Aug 31, 2005 10:24 am - it seems like you put a lot of thought into it but it would be impossible. butane is only a liquid at certain high pressure. you would have to find a way to let out the butane, releasing the pressure, and then fill the lighter back up and put the butane in there with the high pressure again. maybe you could use the bottles of refillable butane but you would have to use a refillable butane lighter. hope it helped. 4*s
