Okay props to my friend for telling me about this. Okay so imagine its nighttime you just bought a grilled stuffed burrito at Taco Bell and your starving and wanna go home and eat it and theres no one on the street and whats this? The light is turning yellow and theres no one in front of you but you know you cant make it.
Heres what you do, you shine your lights on and off real quick. This triggers the traffic light into thinking your a cop or an ambulance and its an emergancy and it turns the light green for you. Which really fucks up the traffic if there is any but oh well you get to go. Do this at nighttime and only if theres not a car in front of you. It comes in handy when you really need to be somewhere and don’t wanna deal with those damn red lights.

Oct 17, 2005 9:01 pm - and in smaller cities, like populations of 100,000, cops just run the red lights, and a little fact, for most places. there are metal detectors underground on the side of the crosswalk where u park, so if ur the first car in line for the light to change, make sure your about 2-5 feet away from the crosswalk so the metal detector can pick up ur cars, well...metal and send it to a computer that changes the light so ur lane can move. if ur a lil confused about that, dont worry, it was a shit explanation.
Nov 27, 2005 6:25 pm - this does work... basically some traffic light are controlled by sensors which detect moving traffic. This is why that when you flash your lights it picks it up earlier than it would have if you had just drove up to them.. ive been doing it for the past year! 5*
Feb 27, 2006 9:25 pm - fucking bullshit!!!!!!! anyways cops and shit can just run red lights in an emergancies!!! plus my dads friend workd on streets and he says the way to make a light change faster is to foward and reverse over the weight censor which in under ground! 0**** just for being such a dumbass and making up eggs

if you really wanna change traffic lights none of these methods work
you are right theres sensors but its a bit more complicated than what you think.
what the sensors pickup is infra-red light not visible light, but unfortunately you wont be able to take out your remote for the t.v as the sensors pickup the flashes at a rate of 12 per second.
the easiest way possible is to purchase a M.I.R.T which is a small device that can be mounted anywhere on the vehicle get one here
