So, the dawn of the new school year, I figure most everyone on here could use some extra help bringing a grade up or getting some extra points. I sure know I could!
Anywho, for the Egg, I will use biology (science) as an example, seeing as I just recently turned in a project for that class over DNA/RNA/Chromosomes.
A good base : Use EITHER a sheet of posterboard or a full-size model, not both unless you REALLY need to. White is always a good neutral color, and can roll with any other colors.
Report/Essay : DOUBLE SPACE! If you suck at writing essays, it fills up easier. Either way, it makes it easier to read from a distance and looks less crammed. Times New Roman is a good font, and usually teachers require 12 point font, but if you are really desperate, you can get away with 12.5 or 13.
Illustrations : Try and have a large, very general, hand drawn picture serving as a basis for the concept. This can be traced, but it needs to be hand drawn DIRECTLY onto the paper. A couple of supporting images can be glue-sticked to the paper as well, as a filler or to further explain.
Key/Guide : Try and make everything as clear as possible, without seeming like you are talking to a bunch of down-syndromed old people. Even so, add a key, as another filler and just for more clarity. The teacher will appreciate it, and so will the class.
Presenting : Pencil or type up some key facts about your project, and get it onto the back(if 2-D) of your project. That way, you don’t have to worry about preparing a full extra essay. If you know your subject(s) well, and you most likely do, having gone through the process, you can wing your essay and push those key facts in using a very clear process. Also, be chill about it. If you think you look like a stupid motherfucker, you probably don’t. Unless people start laughing at you, you’re good.
Bibliography : Not always necessary, but if it is, make SURE to use MLA format, and have at least 3-4 sources, and not all being from the internet. Make up one, if you have to, but DEFINITLEY not all from the web.
IN CONCLUSION! Follow these steps, and you are almost guaranteed to get a high grade. If not, tough shit.
