This is my first egg. Note that I already did this, and I know it works.
Introduction
Most of you probably heard about free domains, but they’re usually stuff like .tk or .co.nr, which are not good if you want to promote your website. Yes, there are many websites where you can get free .com domain, but you have to pay for hosting. I searched the internet for free domains, and usually I was coming up with free domains, but you had to sign up for hosting. Once even I found a website with free .com domains (not the one I’m talking about in the Egg), but you had to give them your credit card number, and after a year, you have to pay. Well, the one I’m actually talking about has free domains, like .com, .net, .biz, and so on. And the great thing is you don’t have to have a credit card or pay a single penny! All you do is fill out some surveys. This may sound disatisfying, but all you have to do is put some random info, and have an email account. You need email only if you sign up for some free survey website, which gives you the most points. Those surveys will not take too much of your time, and it is worth doing for a free domain you always wanted! And after a year, you renew your domain by doing the same free offers and surveys!
2. Click sign up, and choose a domain name, then fill out a form that says to give your name, address, email etc. You probably don’t have to give your real information though, maybe except a telephone number so they can contact you, so they won’t delete your domain. If you are planning on using your domain for illegal purposes, you may run into trouble, but if they don’t have your real info, they won’t do anything, and you could have your website for a while. Actually, I’m pretty sure they just delete the domain (that’s what they said in the terms and conditions), so do whatever you want with it. After signing up, you should receive an email with activation link, so click on it to activate your account.
3. After you complete signing up, you will have to fill out a few short surveys, or sign up for offers, which are all free. You need only 7 points to activate your domain. The survey and signing up for offers part is not really hard, you can give them inaccurate info, and you still earn the points. To earn points, go to Available Offers page, which you can access after you login in. Then choose any of the offers that suit you. Each offer has directions written beneath them, and usually it’s something like ’sign up and active your account’, or ’fill out the first page of the survey’. After you complete a survey or offer, change the offer status to Completed. Also, I will probably suggest to go for sign up offers, because those are free survey or paid email websites, and they give you most points. Here below is a list of surveys and offers I’ve completed.

Note: All of the offers were free, and no credit card was required. You don’t have to request any free stuff (where you have to pay for shipping).
4. After your completed offers are approved, you will be able to request activation of your domain. Like I said earlier, even if you don’t give then real info in surveys or about yourself (except email, you need it for sign up offers), you still get your points. Your domain should be activated within 24 hours.
5. You need a free hosting service, that is a free website, could be on yahoo or something like that. You can get free hosting from domainlagoons’ sister website if you don’t have it yet. You will have to give them your url address (your webpage address), so for example, if you have a free website on Yahoo Geocities, it would be http://www.geocities.com/yournickname. Also, when you type the domain in your browser, you will be redirected to your free website, but it will still say something.com, so don’t worry.

You’ve done research into this.
If you did this you’d be best finding an ad free host that preferably supports apache modules such as php or perl.
unless its purely for phishing :p
I have used ezyrewards before and they will never require a credit card or age restriction. It is completely free and they will give you free hosting as soon as you get a domain, with php and perl and mysql

Oct 24, 2006 3:21 pm - the survey websites approve you instantly, the domain may take up to 24 hrs. to get approved. They send me an email after about 6 hrs., but its because i tried to register a domain login.myspace.com, so it didn’t work, ofcourse, it already exists, i didn’t know that before, don’t have a myspace

Oct 26, 2006 1:04 pm - well, you need hosting that means a free webisite, and when you have it you need to find out your url (something like website.com/username) then you go to the website with your domain (probably domainlagoon.com) and give them your url. They should have a control panel on that website to do that. And if u want to promote your website, you should search on google for ’free website promotion’ or something like that. you should find something. you also should check out xapped.com, they offer free 1000mb space and redirection, and in the account info you give them your domain name and it will work. And don’t forget to put index.html in your files, because this is the main page of your site
Jun 25, 2007 5:05 pm - Proxy server Ok yeah it does only work in the U.S, So why not trick the site into thinking your from the U.S, Use a proxy server. 5browse.info is a good american proxy, and it works good. Try that.
