I am not liable for anything you do with this.
In this egg I will teach you an easy way to make a device that flips the breaker when plugged in to a socket.
I know this topic has being talked about alot but I couldn’t find a good egg that explained it very well.
I use the male end of an old extension wire. The procedure is very simple and except for the cost of the extension wire and tape is free.
This method is much safer then the paper clip method and the gum rapper method.
-An old wire
-An Exacto knife
-Wire cutters
-Electrician’s Tape
-Some sort of insulator
2) Neatly cut the wire close to the end.
3) Take your Exacto knife and strip both wires (could be 2 or 3 wires).
4) Now twist neatly into one wire.
5) Now insulating the wire properly is very important because you do not want anything bursting into flames when you plug it in and you also have to remember only a bit of plastic is keeping you away from a bad visit to the hospital or even morgue.
If you didn’t insulate the wire correctly it could start a fire and draw attention to yourself or even burn down the house.
6) Then you have to neatly and tightly wrap duck tape around the insulator
(Optional) For a switch you could connect the wires after one of the switches on a lava lamp. I haven’t tried it but I thought it up myself.
You have successfully created a power outage plug. It can be used for pissing people off, sneaking around or the infamous getting out of overhead notes at school.
When plugged into the wall you will hear a small crackling noise for less then a second and a few blue sparks.
There are two flaws though
-With enough uses the prongs will become completely melted
-If you are planning on using this when you are sneaking around remember just because you flipped that one breaker doesn’t necessarily mean it will turn the lights off, it could be on a totally separate circuit.
If you want to turn lights off you could simply break it. If you are looking for a more stealthy approach you could flip the breaker for the lights. It is much more dangerous and quite a bit harder to do. It pretty much matters how accessible the light is.
First of all you have to turn the light off (if there isn’t a switch then you are out of luck). The only other way you could do this is cutting the wire, cutting off the power source but that would defeat the whole purpose of this.
Then you have to get to the light by any means like a boost, a ladder or a chair. Then unscrew the light. Making sure the light is off you has to put a piece of tin foil inside the socket and screw the light back in.
Then simply turn the light back on and that circuit’s breaker gets flipped.
This is annoying because every time you turn the breaker back on the breaker flips. The victim has to go through and check every light. This could be pretty funny.

When a breaker is turned off and on very quickly the sure of power could damage electronics attached to that circuit.
These are two simple effective and effective ways to disable power. Both of them last until the breaker is flipped back again. In a public place it could take a few minutes to turn power on again.
Mar 12, 2007 5:18 pm - If it’s a hotel it’s simple. Don’t do it. Whats the point? "kekekeke ^-^, Im gona turn of teh power at the hotel" then you get caught and fined.
Mar 13, 2007 1:07 am - this is very stupid and dangerous.....even that hotel comment is stupid. don’t you think the designers of hotel are smarter than that, that they took into account idiots like you? each room has it’s own circuit breaker.
you really want a smart way to turn off the power? flip the curcuit breaker. a lot safer. won’t kill you, but then again. thats not such a bad thing.... big fat 0
