Another Photoshop tutorial I remember from somewhere.
You will need:
1.Adobe Photoshop
2.Skillz
1.Start out with a 500x500 document.
2.Fill with black.
3.Pick a simple and readable font. And type in something short. I’ll use my name. I’m spacing it to make it simpler. Combine the background and text with (control+shit+e)
4.Rotate it 90 Degrees CW.
5.Add the wind effect. And amplify twice by pressing (control F) twice.
6.Rotate it back straight. And add a Gaussian blur.
with a 1.3 radius.
7.Press (control U) to change the color of your image. Set it to "Colorize" in the bottom right corner. The first box needs to be set at 45, the next at 100, and the last at 0.
8.Press (Control A) to select the entire image. Copy with (Control C). Paste. You should have two identical images.
9.Now press (Control U) again. This time don’t select "Colorize". The first box needs to be set at -38, the rest at 0. Accept.
10.Now go to "Layers" and scroll down to "Color Dodge". The image should change. Press (Control+Shift+E) To merge the images together.
11.Now click on Filter then Liquify. With this you can create the flame effect.
Play with it a bit. Try different colors, and "Color burn" instead of "Color dodge". Practice with longer
words, even try a gif with dfferent liquifies. Your results will vary. Don’t quit if you mess up once.
Comment and rate. :]
