I spent some time in Niagara Falls at the start of November and found a few deserted places worth checking out. I’m not really sure if they’re worth posting, but I suppose the rating will determine that...

All Saints Anglican Church
5850 Robinson street, Niagara Falls, Ontario.

I was looking around the streets surrounding Lundy’s Lane for less-crowded or more appealing restaurants and stores when I came across this place. I was certain it was an abandoned elementary school.

I entered into the gym where one of the double doors had been ripped clean off, but as I went further in things seemed slightly off. Strange layout, only two classrooms, etc...

I figured it was a daycare or Sunday school and coming across the "Flowers for the Church" paper (pictured below) I felt I had confirmed the latter. I later found that "All Saints Church" marked on the paper may have been the name of the place at one time or another. An internet search on the address identified the place simply as "Chapel Niagara Falls".

Left Side (my entrance)

Interior:

Gymnasium ... This is where I first came in. There were cafeteria-type windows that led to a kitchen, basketball nets, a small stage and broken carts which would have held chairs for an assembly or play; nothing there to tip me off that this place wasn’t a school.

Front/Entrance Hall

Coat Room

Boiler Room

Kitchen
It seemed a little small, but still suitable enough for the size of the building. Here I found the "Flowers for the Church" paper and since I had only seen the first half of the place I first surmised it had been a Catholic school. I assumed the "All Saints Church" had possibly been the church the students had attended for school services and whatnot.

This hallway;

Contained this milk-door;

Which went into this room. I thought it was a small staff-room at the time.

I supposed these last two rooms would have been for Sunday school classes. As I reached them I figured the place couldn’t have been an elementary school due to size and layout. The place is near a few churches and the building does seem to have a fairly scholarly aspect about it so Sunday school seemed the best conclusion at the time.

All Saints Church: records

Here the place is listed as Chapel Niagara Falls. All Saints is listed as 5680 Robinson street. I never went down that way to see what was there, so I’m not quite sure what the place was really called.

The Survivor Inn.

5450 Kitchener Street, Niagara Falls, Ontario.

I pulled up and took a few snapshots here before a paranoid companion had me leave. It was understandable enough though; the inn is across the street from a tourist information building and highway 420.

TripAdvisor.com still lists the place (Here). It’s obviously not operating any longer.

All the doors were boarded up except for one. That one had clothes hanging in the window. I pushed it open to find a room stuffed with teddy bears and a cat dish full of kibble on the bed. I took a quick photo and closed the door, I didn’t care to meet the hobo’s pet cat, or let it loose...

Seeing that the place was inhabited was what got my friend jumpy. Standing watching the area and the clock at the sidewalk they spotted and were spotted by a few people at a neighboring home. I wasn’t worried, but I took a few quick shots before being prodded enough to leave.

Marineland Canada

I also ended up trespassing on Marineland property while I was visiting the falls...

I thought I was entering into an older section of the place that had been left unused (and obviously unprotected). I only saw bits of roller coaster over a hill from the road I was on (Stanley Avenue) and curiosity got the best of me... I figured I could get a couple interesting photos...

Once I got further up the driven path I realized I was not in a derelict part of the park. The ’coaster I had seen was not rusted but painted brown, and from atop the hill I could see the rest of the park below. I decided that since I was already there I may as well climb the hill and go on as far as I could.

The first ones to notice my presence (other than the cameras, which later notified the employees) were the animals. The deer specifically, one stood to stare and then the rest began to run around frantically until I left their sight. I took a few more photos and spotted a better entrance (descending and then climbing back up steep hills into the main areas wasn’t so appealing) which I headed down towards.

I came in right beside the buffalo and deer I had seen from above.

This was opposite the deer pens.

Walking on a little further...

Going around the pond instead of over the bridge provided these.

I didn’t make it too far into the place before I was approached by the staff as I stood with my camera by the belugas. However it was with fairly good humour. I was only taking photographs, and technically my presence did alert the staff to how easily accessible the place was (the next day the parking lot out front was more than twice as occupied).

I took these on my way out...

Oh the American Falls are so much better!!
Lol, no. Definitely not, those are nothing compared to the Niagara falls. Might not be super tall, but hell, the sheer mass and volume of water passing through is absolutely uncomparable.

Anyways, I like htis egg, 5*****
