Hi I’m appetite,
I’m gonna teach how to make a bolt cracker.
firstly you’ll need:
2 same sized bolts - 1 nut that fits on both nuts
cap gun caps
screw driver or thumbtack (personally i used screwdrivers just encase it blows un-intendedly)
now put the nut on 1 of the bolts but not full done up (twist so it covers at least 3 treads.
Sorry its a bad photo but: get a screwdriver/thumbtack onto the back of a cap and push gently so the powder falls out.
Get a piece of small paper or cardboard to collect the cap powder and put in the nut.
put at least 2 or 3 full rings(24 caps) into the nut then get the other bolt and twist into until it can’t spin any further. (CAUTION!!! Do not twist to far or it will blow up in your hands and trust me it hurts)

Mar 12, 2008 3:20 am - ah man, bolt bombs.. dangerous shit. you obviously put the effort in, but these things are just stupid IMO.
if that exploded in your hand whilst screwing it a bolt could shoot up into your face. I don’t mean to sound like a paranoid parent here (I’m far from it) but this is not worth the risk.

it wasnt that hard and yeh it is risky but no nuts go flying anywhere it disconnects at the nut because 1 end keeps the bolt where the other gos nuts and flys away
Mar 12, 2008 11:46 pm - no u dont, it may explode in ur hand if u twist it 2 far. its basically a drop bomb made with bolts u just throe it instead of dropping it
