THIS IS NOT A REPOST
This is the whole Angkor Complex, with the main Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom and some other one which’s name I cant remember. This is the day after my last egg, since that was only sunset. This one is a full day exploring lots of the Angkor complex. Once again, many tourists.
On with the egg. Captions will be below pictures.
The entrance leading to Angkor Wat.
Same again
Some interesting structures there.
Getting closer to getting in through the gate.
A view of the moat sort of thing. As you might see in the previous pictures the entrance was over a long stone bridge sort of thing, but more like a wall since it was solid stone to the ground.
Almost in
At the doorway, looking to the left.
In the doorway, also looking to the left.
Gone through the outer wall, now looking back at it. To the left also.
To the right, there is this.
Another picture of a structure
Yet another structure.
Looking at the Large structure, which is inside the
wall, if you understand what I mean.
Walking toward the large structure.
Looking to the right as you walk toward the large structure you see this.
Looking to the left as you walk toward the large structure you see this.
Still walking toward large structure.
Almost there.
Almost there
Walked up stairs, almost about to enter what I then found to be the second wall.
Walking through the wall.
The roof with some lovely patterns.
I presume this was some form of bathing pool.
As you can see you can never escape from tourists.
Steps into pool sort of thing.
Just so you can see the patterns clearly and shit.
A doorframe sort of thing I guess.
Looks pretty cool.
Things on the wall. Apparently the boobs are shiny because people rub them for good luck. Those perverted Cambodians!
Writing carved into a pillar. I have no idea what it says.
Below the writing there was this Buddha thing and some more carved stuff. Pity its slowly wearing away over time…
Buddha statues up against the wall, some are headless though.
Very interesting.
Another view of bathing pool like thing, with steps.
Buddha shrine thing.
Buddha thing.
View from up in the interesting structure.
A big structure. I am using this structure word a lot. Not sure what else to use really.
Weird dancer people. By weird, I mean WEIRD.
A lot of the structures are under constant fixing up.
A nice doorway…
This place was through the doorway a few pictures up.
Doorway again.
ZOMG MONKEY
Interesting patterns on many walls
Close up of monkey
ANGKOR THOM
Main entrance to Angkor Thom
Nice pattern, pity my shoe also got in the photo
Fallen over pillar with nice pattern in it.
Trees and structure.
Some monks. The original image was 3000*4000 pixels, and you could see the monks face at that resolution. It was HILARIOUS.
Fallen over tree.
Previous 2 pictures overlooking a lake.
Revisiting Angkor Wat at sunset. A danger sign
The steep stairs. The black things are people.
some form of ruins.
Elephant Wall
Some doorway.
A tuk-tuk.
Going on top of this building thing. My father urinated up here since there was nobody around.
That’s what we went up/down.
He has quite afew things on there.
Mar 29, 2008 7:12 am - Going into ANOTHER set of structures.
Long wall is long.
Huge trunk is huge.
Huge trunk is huge.
A tree growing out of a building.
A dog.
Thanks for reading my egg. I hope you enjoyed seeing these pictures as much as I enjoyed being there. Actually, no I don’t, since it would have been a waste of money buying stuff to go there when I could have gotten the same joy out of viewing pictures on the internet.
This took a while to do, so all I ask is appreciation.
