Okay there have been plenty of how to:graffiti eggs on this website. Most of them have be done by "toys" and I said most not all. I have see alot of legitimate bombers on here so don’t flip on me for that. but with that aside lets get into this. the name i use is "neck". it is just because it has just changed around and i liked how the leters go together
attention: all pictures are taken from my black book. i dont stay around after im done a throw up to take a picure. thats stupid.
[1] getting a name.
a. make sure your name has never been used by a professional/famous graffiti artist this is a one way ticket to toy city.
b. don’t use your actual name.
[2] materials.
a. its best to start with a "black book" this is the term for a book that a bomber uses to practice their throw ups in.
b. unless you really really need to do not use sharpies. they bleed and don’t work well. if moneys right deco fabric are my favorite.
c. mops are needed. tags get your name out there and also can look very cool.
d. when you have found the tag you want and the way your gonna do it. get spray paint. i’m not sure in its every where but there’s an 18 year old age restriction on spray paint in new jersey. this brings me to my next topic.
[3] practice
a. just like any other hobby/ career graffiti takes time and practice to master and you can always get better.
b. your black book should be full before you even consider spray paint.
c.now that you’ve got your spray paint got to an abandon building or somewhere you wont be bothered by anyone and PRACTICE. they’re many things you can do with a can of paint that you can not do with a marker.
[4] a few terms to know
a. tag-a quick signature of your name
b. bomb/throw up- a simple outline of your name usually no color
c. piece- very intricate throw ups with many colors and shading mine are not good i know this. im in the middle of working on it but ill put a picture of one so you get the idea.
d. mop- a marker used to do tags. usually filled with paint but ink is used as well
[5] possibilities
a. there’s many types of graffiti. stencils, stickers, throw ups, tags. possibilities are endless.
b. personally i stick to just simple throw ups and tags. i leave pieces to the people who can actually do them.
[6] some info to know
a. graffiti is completely legal until you vandalize.
b. never cover up another piece with yours. unless your asking for a fight.
c. don’t be a dick
d. don’t walk around bragging about the throw up you did in the movie theater bathroom

You cant show someone how to do graffiti, It takes practice and time. 4* for entertainment.

to be honest. i think tagging is fuckin gay. its fun and all but kinda lame.
throwies are alright and then piecework is the shit.
tags are just senseless vandalism that require no effort where as a piece is art.
all the same its a good way to become known. just dont hit up on someones house.

Jun 14, 2009 8:22 am - oh. im not being a dick or anything, i love graff just not tags. i like your sketches too. and crossing over from markers to paint is one huge ass fuckin leap. its a whole different zone. can control and all that. i think im alright at sketches but give me a can and i cant do shit. im hopeless at it. most writers make it look alot easier than it is, as for where to get paint thats pretty easy there are tons of graff stores just take mates to avoid being robbed/rolled.

But you made some effort to this egg.
* Your lines should be a little better, work on that
* You could have mentioned buying some graffiti books, copying some sketches and then making your own style
* Maybe a little better color combinations

Now thats real art buckos, not this pussy shit. Picasso didn’t use sharpies and spray paint, he used horse hair and smashed berries as paint. Now that is a true revolutionist.
