“Wild West Coast” In a stunning contrast between land and sea the Nuchatlitz offers the most dramatic seascape on coast of Vancouver Island. We paddle amongst the gem like islands, entering sea caves, sheltered coves, and tranquil lagoons. Paddling upon a raft of a hundred sea otters is a usual occurrence as this area is home to some of the largest sea otter populations in the world.
Chance encounters with Orcas, grey whales, sea lions, porpoises, black bears, cougars, and wolves often occur in this rich natural environment.
