Last year, Jordan and I watched our other neighbors go into an unfinished house. We began talking about it, and somehow we formulated this plan to trick them into thinking that we called the police on them. Jordan got a cordless phone from his house and brought it outside. I ran to them, telling them that Jordan was calling the police. They didn’t believe me at first, but then they saw Jordan with the phone to his ear. I told them I’d try to reason with him. Meanwhile, they ran to the woods as fast as they could, taking their bikes with them down the steep trail. Jordan and I laughed, then followed them. I still played the role of ’the good guy,’ telling Jordan that he shouldn’t have called the police. Jordan still played a convincing ’bad guy.’ I said that Jordan had done many things that were illegal and that we didn’t call the cops on him. One of my neighbors was like, ’Yeah! I know so many things that could get you in trouble.’ They started getting very angry, so Jordan and I revealed our great joke. Obviously they didn’t think it was very funny since they were so scared. I think they took it wrong. (laugh) Oh well.
