Mountain Quarry has only a few climbs with reliable rock. Most of the quarry is unstable and loose, and attempting to establish first ascents is dangerous. Some of the state’s hardest climbs reside here, but most of them are chipped, glued, and bolted. If that’s your thing, this is the place for you. Playboy, at grade 17, is a classic climb worth a try. It is a corner climb with good protection and a few awkward moves. Above the main quarry is a smaller quarry, useful for top-roping and bouldering. Access the quarry from Coulston Road, Boya. Driving east, you will notice a bus-stop on the left side of the road, the entrance to the car-park is 100 metres beyond this
