(As for the drag chute, I know two type of them. One is harnesse type and other one is keel type. I’ll introduce hanesse type.which is. )
Prepare the material about 120cm first.(You can cut the material in any size as you like. appropriately size. Try to make it in various size.) It has beter to be a soft one and poorly ventilated one.
Cut the material roundly in a diameter 120cm, then cut a hole in the center of material in diameter 5 or 7cm too. A center hole is important. Because It improves stability and it will be needed when next step.Sew bias tape on the cut end (a red part). Because it may be frayed.iIt functions if it is not here.) If you don’t have it. Please borrow a sewing machine from your mother or girl friend.
Sew flat strings 8 (6 - 10) place on the perimeter equality interval. You can use round strings. but it may be difficult if you are a beginner.Margin is 5cm. The length of the string is 65cm in perimeter 120cm case. Make loops strings in the 0the end of the strings.
Bundle it with the fine rope used in a para glider, then cut the fine rope to 70cm and bind it to main line around the base of the harness.
My harness is hanged by two lines. The fine rope is can be binded to left or right line. Both OK. You may feel pulled by one side. But your position doesn’t move. There is no sense of incongruity, either. Here we are finished.It is easy isn’t ? It is completed if a container is made and stored on the harness.
It just a cover to the chute, not a bag-shaped one.
You’d beter connect it with the chute or it will leave away when chute open..
My hand-made chute is very helpful. .But I think keel type is more better than hanesse type.
Drag chute has nothing to do with the safety. even if it is open or not open.
