me and two other friends were riding along one day and we found an abandoned church so we decided to explore we found an entrance to an old boiler room we slid down the chute and landed on a pile of coal we had to take the chute all the windows and doors were completely boarded up the second we got down the chute door slammed we walked the abandoned corridors of the basement for what felt like half an hour but when we looked at our watches it had been well over two hours we then proceeded to the second floor finding pieus and other old church stuff we found that the power was still running so we took an elevator to the second floor where we found bibles and other books of worship we found an old kitchen were we proceeded to leave the water running until it flooded the floor we went inside the elevator and pushed for the first floor then turned it off and played like we were in die hard we climbed out of the emergency panel and it was so cool looking at all the cables ant stuff we then proceeded to the third floor which was locked we broke the lock using screw drivers and a hammer when we entered we saw something amazing it was like an excorcist hospital thing there were beds with straps to tie down there were bibles and crosses and a giant sculpture of jesus being crucified probably ten feet high it was creepy so we went to the the top of the steeple and we could see every thing for almost a mile around we also noticed it was getting dark fast the sun was almost totally hidden beneath the trees and we did not want to be there at night not after we saw the excorcist room we went to the second floor took the stairs to the first floor but it was dark. we could hardly see we walked around the first floor finding our way to the basement when we heard weird creaking noises from upstairs one of my friend got so scared he fainted we had to drag him into a vacant room with nothing in it and talk softly to him before accepted the fact that it was just the church settling he was so shaky that any noise at all made him jump ten feet in the air we finally found our way back to the coal room by the smell of the coal then we heard what sounded like hundreds of feet walking down stairs straight towards my friend almost fainted again we then realized a big mistake the chute was to high to reach we jumped we piled up coal and books but still could not reach the chute and if we had succeeded we probably never would have gotten the chute open anyway cause the only handle was on the other side of the door loud creaking noise were happening more often now we huddled in the corner of the room for a long time holding our eyes tight shut the friend who fainted cried for a moment then my other friend had an idea we quietly snuck back up shaking as if we just drank the worlds supply of coffee when we reached the elevator we entered it and waited till we were between floors 1 and 2 then stopped it we checked our watches it was close to midnight we werent expected back home until the next day because when stopped we were taking the scenic route to a slumber party we sat together in the lighted elevator for a little while telling happy stories of christmas presents and birthdays to keep our minds off the fact that we were in a weird old church after midnight hearing weird sound that sounded like people running around and loud noises at about 1 o’ clock my friend who was not the one who fainted was talking about if our bikes would be safe saying he wished he would not have put them by the loading bay. when i jumped up and said that that is the way out the noises had stopped and we decided to go for it we unstopped the elevator and it took us to the second floor we then shut the doors and went to the first floor around the church until we found the garage door it was locked with a padlock with the key in it we opened it and then quietly opened the door to find ourselves face to face with freedom we got our bikes shut the door and headed off to the friends house for the slumber party when we arrived the were in the front room wtching a movie we knocked lightly on the door and some one looked through the window saw us and opened the door we told them about what happend saying that the noises were probably made by ghosts we the friends wanted to see the old church so after a nights sleep we took them there but no one went in we saw a man coming out of the garage door we asked him what he was doing then he told us that a constuction crew that came in to do some extra work last night complained that the elevator wasnt working so he came to fix it we felt embarassed that we thought it was ghosts but still felt proud that we made it out alive.
