Fun With Universal Remote Controls

You need:

1. A really good universal remote control.
2. A target whose TV or stereo will take the signal from your remote.
3. Access to their window in the middle of the night.

Ok, so you run up and use the universal remote to see if you can flip on their TV or stereo. They come down and flip it off. You flip it back on when they are halfway back to the bedroom. Turn the volume up loud. Turn it off when they get almost there. After they unplug it, move on to another house. Better yet, call them and say you’re with the power company and there have been problems with power surges. Ask if they have experienced anything funny. When they say they have, tell them to plug the TV back in and see if it is still doing funny stuff. After they say no, wait an hour and come back because the TV is plugged back in. A variation might be doing this in the middle of the day or during the Super Bowl. Just keep changing the channels on them and turning on/off the TV. Mute it and have them thinking the TV is busted. Program the sleep timer. Lots of stuff you can do here.
