ok i am making a book on paintballing skills this summer. here is the first part of it and if i left anything out please tell me so i can add it
-Basic skills
You are about to read about skills that you should know before starting out on the rest of the skills. These fundamentals play a major role in your learning to paintball correctly.
1. Body positioning- There are three main positions: Standing, Crouching, and Lying. These positions are pretty much self explanatory and I do not need to go into detail about these.
2. Staying tight- To stay tight means to let the least amount of your body show making you a smaller target thus harder to hit. You gun should be tilted behind the bunker or in front of your mask and you should have your elbow tucked in to your side. Never stand straight forward, this makes for an easier target. If you are at an angle you also have the chance of paintballs glancing off your body.
3. Planning ahead- Before you make any move you should know exactly where you are going to minimize time in the open.
4. Mix it up- Don’t always come out of one side, popping out of different sides keep your opponent guessing where you are going to shoot from next giving you the important element of surprise.
5. Practice makes perfect- Practice these tips whenever you are paintballing since paintball is a sport of instinct and if you don’t do it all the time you will never do it
6. Never, ever takeoff your mask while on the field. All fields will kick you out permanently if your mask even slips off you face!
7. Beware of tunnel vision- Don’t always get focused on one person. There are many people out there who you have to keep an eye on. Survey the field whenever possible.
After these skills have been mastered you are ready to move on to more challenging things and further our skill in the sport of paintball.
