Ok
Note: make the shot gun shell fuse stick out just enough to get lit.
Note 2: The shot gun shell wont fit in your tube, so you have to put duck tape around the shell till its fat enough to go in the tube with ease. NOT too tight it will explode if it is.
Note 3: make sure the canister is filled half way up with powder.
To shoot it off, just put the shell in your film canister, fuse down,
Then light the canister fuse and run like hell.
Trouble shooting:
My shell exploded on the ground. What did I do wrong? it was packed too tight make the shell fit a little loser.
The she went up and fell back down and exploded. your fuse on the shell is too long try a shorter one or try a faster one.
Sep 18, 2006 1:59 am - What did you do wrong? Let’s see, black powder in a plastic film cannister= (a) a smoke bomb. (b) A sparkler. (c) A ground explosion of the cannister. Try using a wall thickness of at least 3/32 for a mortar tube. I’ve been building these for over 30 years and your setup is going to hurt some beginner.
