Muriatic Depth Charge
Materials:
1. 2-litre soda bottle
2. Duct tape
3. Muraitic acid
4. A clean brick or rock.
5. bb’s, nails, glass (shrapnel)
6. Aluminum Foil
Instructions:
Take the 2-litre bottle and the brick. Tape the bottle laying down on its side to the brick. Tape it nice and snug so that it doesn’t break off. Then take a funnel and pour the acid into the bottle. Be careful not to get any on your skin as it will burn. Next you will put in your shrapnel. After this is done, cap it and its ready to transport.
Find a lake or a small pond where you like to go fishing. When you are ready, take small balls of aluminum foil and put them in the bottle real fast. Then cap it real tight and toss it into the water.
It should sink in the water and go down about 6 feet before blowing up. I would suggest laying down or crouching when this thing goes off. (The shrapnel could go soaring out of the water into your face.)
When the water stops bubbling, a bunch of fish it rise dead or knocked out to the surface of the water. It could be used for fishing or killing stuff in the water. Don’t eat the fish after killing them, they will be poisoned by the muriatic acid. If they are big, mount them on your wall.
Jun 24, 2005 9:38 am - Good egg. Remember Muriatic acid - HCl (hydro chloric) Put something burnig in there and you will have flames(Al + HCL -> H2 + AlCl) Keep in mind that is not balanced.
