Alright, I own a Goped Sport, with a G23LH engine on it. My ped-nation s/n is "Chris175919".Here are some simple ways to add speed and performance to your ped.
1. Drill out (make bigger) the exhaust holes in the frame.
2. Similar to #1, remover your muffler and mount it upside down, do it blows exhaust into the open air witout having to go through the frame.
3. Mix your gas + oil amount the same as you usually do, (mine is 40:1),but instead of using low grade gasoline (88,89,93super ETC,) use 110 octane(available at SOME gas stations, just have to LOOK for them) like I do.Yeah, its a little expensive, but its a goped and they don’t use THAT much gas mixture.
4. Buy an advanced spindle, I recommend a .700 or .750 because their right in the middle. Not a high top speed, but also don’t kill your acceleration.
5. Keep your engine clean, clean the air filter frequently, clean the spark plug, and make sure it is tight, and clean the rubber connecting spark plug wire housing on the inside, which will give u better conductivity.
6. Do not do jumps, because this will bend your crankshaft. I just broke mine from hitting a stupid bump, a costly and stupid mistake, for just a little rush off of a jump or something.
7. This may sound crazy, but those little plastic SEALED re-usuable ICE CUBES put in a gas tank will chill the gas mixture, creating a denser fuel mixture which means a little more power.
8. Warm up your Goped before u ride, and then let it sit after a good warm up for a about a minute and give it time to let the inside of the engine to expand and heat up.
9. Buying an expensive spark plug will improve performance and spark. Just make sure you buy the right type.
10. In a recent egg I just read, the pop-bottle air scoop does add a little zip to your ped. The only problem is your sucking in dirty air, unless you have a can-type aftermarket HP airfilter like I have, cause then it will work + the clean air coming in.
11. When going full throttle, quickly release the throttle, and then pull it all the way open again in two or three bursts to give a little boost.
12. A can of "wire dryer/engine starter spray", which contains "ether" (I think) but anyways when it combusts it is really explosive which jolts the engine to start in cold/wet conditions. I fastened it to the deck of the Goped to spray into the carb without the air filter on, and when I was riding I put my foot on the little button to make it spray and when it got shot into the carb opening, it was like a huge boost. Almost like nitrous oxide. Really, this is a true story. I don’t recommend this though, it will probably fry your piston rings and burn up your engine. But seriously, if you want a dangerous boost (lmao) this works.

Thats it for now, but remember, with added power, it puts more stress on your engine which runs the risk of mechanical break down. Please rate this egg cause I worked HARD on it.

Cool 5 Stars. A friend of mine has a home made chopper. ill tell him about a few of these like the ether can NOS bottle and the scoop. Also im trying to make him loose the exaust cause i think its restricting Air flow. But it goes a good 45 kph.
Opps got a little off track. 5 Stars for the effort and for the info.
Ohh and what type of Go-Ped would you recommend? |

that engine boost thing is cool. im goona try it but have tube from under the deck i think. Also you can "ghetto cool" your goped like i did. which is basically really ghetto stupid water cooling. and that ice cube thing im gonna try. also try putting those icecubes in your airfilter to cool the incoming air! |

i think u can buy like colored icecubes which is water in a little plastic cube so they are reusable |

#7 with the ice cubes, doesn’t gas melt throough plastic? I have these ice cubes actually, but wouldn’t the gas melt through the ice cube letting watter and plastic into your engine?
