first you have to buy a lead pellets for pump guns for 4$-5$ the get a pan that will heat up good than start a camp fire intill very hot put the pellets in the pan and put it in the middle of the camp fire it will start melting after five min. get something to pour it on to let it dry and cool off then take siccors and cut it out to be a knive.

Lead is soft and would just bend, it is poisonous,heavy and as evry1 else said y not just take a kitchen knife if you r desperate. I suppose if you are stuck in the wild with lead pellets and a pan then this is a briliant egg.

Jan 28, 2006 9:39 am - actually its quite dangerous, but thats assuming that you have a REAL knife with you, and you cut sombody, then put the shitty lead "knife" in the real stab wound. the person could die from lead piosoning. if u really wanted to give someone lead poisoning, just shoot them with the pellet gun a bunch of times. then u wont need a real knife to break the skin.

Apr 29, 2006 4:11 pm - One way to make this less crap, would be to melt another metal (dont know how) then pour it into a container shaped like a knife, like a mould. The when it is solid. Shape it and sharpen it.
May 23, 2006 11:12 am - Be very careful when working with lead,I do it quite a bit. Try not to handle the lead very much, use gloves. Lead is extremely poisonous and if you get it into your blood stream it will cause your children to look like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.I only use lead to make sinkers and weights for fishing. I suggest finding another metal for that.
Nov 18, 2006 5:02 am - Lead isnt that poisonous. Its affects are very long term. Romans used lead lined containers to store their food and wine, which gave many of them lead poisoning, but none of them died instantly. It takes a long time to die of lead poisoning. Mostly it just turned their gums black. A stab wound from a lead knife wouldnt be enough to poison someone in a serious way.
