Aug 28, 2005 4:48 pm - easier way to do it, download knoppix, burn it and reboot but make sure in the BIOS that cd boots before the hard drive. then type linux26 and press enter when everything loads, click hda1 (there may be more than one (hda2))and find c:/windows/repair/SAM then install l0phtcrack and use the file SAM (password file) and you’ll have it cracked. p.s. i can send you the full version of l0phtcrack 5 for free, just e-mail me c0w_tipp3r@hotmail.com. i might not reply right away, but i check my e-mail almost everyday. happy cracking. also you can e-mail me for info on knoppix

Dec 21, 2005 2:09 pm - Dustin try this. I have seen this work, but never really cared to find out the complete fool proof reason and method. Some people do not use the "administrator" account for administrating. They rather create another account and give it admin privileges. If thats the case, simply start the computer in safe mode, the login will then show you one account of administrator. Use it and you wont have to give the password (if the user did not give any during the installation). The reason I read somewhere (but I did not crosscheck as I never need to get illegal admin privileges) is that in windows XP, the administrator password can only be specified during the installation. Have a nice day, and do tell me if it worked.
