hey( please read all and rate/ its my first egg)
This is my first post and im really bored right know so I decided to use my skills of pyrotechnics and shit. I will be telling you the basics of flash and black powder and their differences. I will tell you many different ways you can make flash powder and even many different measurements for flash powder. I will also tell you how to make smoke bombs with potassium nitrate and regular sugar. And I will tell you how to make rolling stars (their little balls that flash on and off) and I will tell you how to make black powder. And water falls too. I will give you a few links where I learned all my pyrotechnic skills and the links will also sell chemicals too. And if you didn’t understand my formulas just go to the links and you’ll see. 1. Basics of pyrotechnics and safety tips
Don’t be a dumbass and start blowing mettle shit up. When you do that it send mettle pieces flying everywhere going threw bodies and shit. Only use mettle when you want to die. The stuff that flys out is called shnarple. Same with a pcv pipe. it might do the same thing. The best that you can do is use cardboard or something paper like. When mixing chemicals don’t hesitate to make a big batch because if you fuck up and it blows up you face will be gone. Make small batches at a time. Always have something handy to put out a fire like a bucket of water and shit. And read the warnings!!! You have to cause it is life threatening. Always where gloves/ face mask/ and goggle that suck into your eyes. And if you want to protect your close where a apron. When you grind materials don’t grind oxidizers and fuel together. Just to let you know it will blow up. But you can grind oxidizers with other oxidizers. And fuels with fuels. just be very careful. Never EVER!!! Grind flash powder I mean never!!!!. It will blow up and fuck up your life. Use the diaper method to mix flash powder. When you mix chemicals their are different kinds of mesh(mesh=what size the particles are). The best for flash powder is aluminum German dark dust. Its around 600 mesh. Common house hold flower is around 400 meshes so you should not breath the aluminum in. this is a personal tip from personal experience. When you play with gas and spill it all over your face and it goes into your eyes mouth and nose. Don’t breathe threw your mouth cause youll suffocate and it tastes like shit in your breath. When it’s in the eyes wash them thoroughly. And when its in your noise don’t breathe threw it cause it burns!!! bet when your like me and spill it in all three places. You should get a towel and go to a fresh air place and don’t swallow any of your saliva. Keep your eyes tightly closed and once the shit starts to go away breathe threw your nose until it wont burn and then go wash your eyes. But after that wash your mouth with listering or something to get rid of the gas. when your fucking around with fine powder or dust you have to wear a dust mask cause it can fuck everything up. Especially sulfur. When mixing chemicals with a spoon and a bole. Never!!! Use mettle spoons or bowls or anything that can make a spark. The best is just plastic. heres the diaper method of mixing flash powder. First get a big sheet of paper and poor the chemicals onto it. Level it out and lift the sides of the paper making the chemicals over lap each other. Keep doing until its all one color. Always be aware that accidents can happen. Its not that I care about you. I actually don’t. Im just warning you that things can happen when making bombs. always were a dust mask and goggles because you can breathe in chemicals and things can blow up and you loose your vision.(trust me I watched a movie in science class today its “7/21/05”’it says always keep your workspace clean. and always put the lids back on chemicals and be very fucking carefully with acids. and when you cut glass you need to melt the ends so it isn’t sharp. Also when you’re going to turn the butane thingy first turn the match on then the gas. and when you get shit in your eyes wash out with a eye washer or water and don’t stiff the chemicals directly. Also when lighting any explosive chemicals don’t even go near it. either put a fuse or throw a toothpick with a gasoline soaked paper and light it and throw it (its windproof. heres something you should do is make your little office of pyrotechnics in your closet or somewhere. trust me...don’t leave it out in public. I also hate it when my friends keep touching my shit or pyrotechnics cause they start trying to make shit and stuff. I fucking had to get a lock and lock it away in my closet. and don’t be stupid and start smoking while making it. also never grind any kind of explosive. and never try to ball mill flash powder or anything explosive. BUT!!! You can grind black powder with lead balls. So far that’s the only safety tip I can think off
1.5 pyrotechnics
You need to know your shit. When your going to make something all the ingredients should equal 100%( that’s the real science way) but usually others just say # grams. you need to get a digital scale ( the best is reading 1/10 of a gram or a triple springed ones weighing this. you cant use the cheep one springs. the chemicals are measured by weight not volume. volume is way to inaccurate and you should never try it. you also need to know how to read the chemicals
Example
Sugar 50%
Salt 50%
That means 50 grams of sugar and 50 grams of salt. You can also double it to 100 grams of sugar and 100 grams of salt or 1 ounce of sugar and 1 ounce of salt
You CANNOT!!! I REPEAT CANNOT!!! use 1 cup or sugar and 1 cup of salt. Why? Because 1 cup of sugar could weigh like 65 grams and 1 cup of salt can weigh up to 234 grams. That is way out of line. You must weight them. It is also not consistent. One cup of sugar may weigh 23 grams but then the next time you measure it can weigh 40 grams. Why? Because it might be more or less compact in the measuring cup. Also you need to know your chemicals and the safety about it.
2. flash powder vs. black powder
People always ask which is stronger. Well both are. it just depends what your going to do. Flash powder is used in firecrackers and stuff. Black powder is used in motors and guns. Flash powder is mainly made from potassium percholorite and fine powdered aluminum. The finer the material the better the explosion. Flash powder burns at a rate so fast that its just a flash. black powder burns slower and wont destroy much. If you put flash powder is a cardboard container it will destroy the entire cardboard. But for black powder it might not even destroy it. Black powder is used in guns to make pressure and shoot the bullet out. As for flash powder it will just fuck up your gun. Also black powder comes in different meshes. Those meshes are read by F’s the more Fs the more meshier. Different mesh sizes DO make a difference. That is very important

if you have no fucking clue what that is then your stupid. A motar is a tube on the ground where it shoots a shell ( that is a ball that get shot up and blows up making the colors and shit)
ok when you make have a motar don’t be a dumbass and put flash powder in it. The whole fucking tube will just blow up. You must use black powder and since I don’t know what size tube youll have youll have to experiment. But the shell doesn’t have to be a ball full of shit. it can be full of rolling stars and black powder or maybe flash powder. NEVER!! put bbs. It’s just too deadly. It will shoot balls from the sky down to the earth giving concussions and shit. if you want to be stupid and do that then just throw a shotgun shell into a fire. I will tell you how to make them later
4. fire crackers
be very careful because firecracker has flash powder. And flash powder is fucking dangerous in the making. You MUST make very small batches unless you want to die.( and trust me...accidents to happen) when making always where suction cup goggles and a dust mask( you never know when you breathe in aluminum.) never ever!! use a mettle spoon to stir it. The best thing to all it plastic spoons. and when your in a working station you have to be very clean and put labels and lids on all chemicals when and not in use. and if you spill aluminum on yourself go wash it off cause that fucker make you itchy. keep in mind that if you want a water proof firecracker the fuse has to be water proof. but you can use nail polish(the fingernail paint) to cover most of the stuff to make a side solid
5.surroundings and what you need
i prefer to have your little lab in a not public space. Like in your closet. cause it gets really annoying when your retorted friends come to your room without you and try too make one themselves and fuck everything up. Also you need to label and double check your measurements. Never store chemicals in a place where an open fire is and don’t stack them on top of each other. I prefer to label the things as in like fuel and the other oxidizers. You need to be very clean and take pyrotechnics and chemistry very serious because things can happen. You need a fire extinguisher or a bucket of water. And maybe a fire blanket incase your dumb friends catch fire. You should try not to use a fire extinguisher. You need a weighing station and a set of plastic cups and stuff like that

Smoke bombs. Here are smoke bombs some of em are toxic and some are colored smoke bombs but I only tried one and here it is
Ingredients
Potassium nitrate | 60%
Sugar | 40%
They can be powder but the best is the powdery. I prefer to melt the ingredients together because I found out that it works better when melted that in a powder.
First measure the chemicals.( in this case I used 15 grams pot nitrate and 10 grams of sugar. Weigh them all and double check to see If their right. After you do that put them in a beaker or something glass burn proof. Start stirring with a wooden stick or something like that (NOT METLE) and set the stove or the electric thingy on low and stir. Set the hot plate temperature to medium high, and about every 30 seconds or so, sir the mixture well, be sure to scrape the stuff that stick on the bottom. Keep stirring until it turns all brownish caramel color. DON’T EVEN try to eat it. I know it looks soo tasty but just don’t. if its turning black then you fucked up. Once its all peanut buttery get a clump of that shit and put in on a hard surface and put a fuse on it about 2-3 inches on it and let It dry out. If you real picky about the way it looks make molds from cardboard. This stuff gets really hard so a knock from a hammer will do the trick

Know all these ingredients I haven’t tried but I do think they’ll work. Their from a reliable source. Please not that I DID NOT!! Just copy and paste these formulas. I taken the time to proof that im not a foney. All this was typed by hand and my arms are soor Please aim me if you know they go well in the making process.

Roling and round stars
k. these are little balls that web lit their like a ball on fire.
What you need
A water bottle that shoots water
Digital scale
Weighing cups
Mortar and pestle
Fine wire strainer
Plastic spoons
Lead shot, NOT bbs unless you plan to die
A wok/ its like a pan \________/ with round edges for rolling the balls in
Start weighing all the chemicals and make sure that they MUST me accurate. It is a lot better to use a digital 1/10 gram scale. Start by using the motar and pestle to grind the potassium nitrate into fine dust or powdered. When done poor the barium nitrate into the mix and grind them together into one fine powdered chemical. Poor the two chemicals into the container and then poor the other ingredients into the same container. Snap the lid on and shake well. Then get another container and put the fine wire over it and poor the chemicles into the fine wire. Use the motar and GENTLY!!! And push the chemicals threw the fine wire. Since theirs clumps of chemicals stuck together you should do that a lot. Keep fine wiring it until the chemical is one nice color. Ok this is where you waste losts of time. K get a teaspoon of leadshot and put them into the wok. Then role the pan around to see if the balls role or do they slide. If they slide with water than get sand paper and rub it all around the inside. But don’t do too much or they wont role at all. But when you role the pan around there is a special way to do it. Move it front to back and then around the world and then make the balls jump by thrusting the pan in the air. Keep repeating until the process is done. Know start rolling the lead balls around and then ad very little water. When their rolling you should not let then spot or they’ll be lot sided. Sprinkle a small amount of the star formula on then. Just add a pinch it has to me very little. And allow around 7 seconds for the stars to absorb the stuff. Then sprinkle little bit more. Then spray a little bit of water and add more of the chemicals. Get repeating this process. And don’t to impatient. Once the stars are bb size you can add a lot more water and the chemicals can just be dumped right in. put about a spoon fool when their bb size. Once done keep rolling until the balls are about half an inch and just let them dry and your done. With that many lead balls you get around 650 of them. But don’t even think about using bb cause if you put them into a shell with flash powder the bb fill be fire balls of death. Lead balls evaporate.
Black powder
I prefer to buy black powder cause its a lot easier. You will need 3 chemicals to make black powder.
Potassium nitrate 150 grams
Charcoal powder 30 g
Sulfur 20 g
Get all the chemicals and put them into the ball mill. Make sure that the balls are LEAD balls or else it will just explode. It has to be a ball mill to make the substance more powdery and mixed well. Keep the ball mill on for about 3 hours. When done get a fine wire strainer and put something under it to catch the black powder. And poor the entire composition in to it(including balls) and start shaking the fine wire strainer until the black powder is off the balls.
This is fine powder black powder. This is good for only certain things. But if you want to launch shells from a motar it has to be “lifted” powder. Just add very little “dextrin” into the composition and the black powder will not be all dusty anymore. Keep doing this till you think you got it right. There are many different amount of dextrin to add to the black powder but I don’t know how it works. It depends on what your going to use it for.
Ok add dextrin and add some water and start putting threw the strainer until the balls are all fine. Don’t worry if you don’t understand this because 2 in the morning and im half dead. So you have any questiong about this then aim me.
Flash Powder
This is flash powder(your worst nightmare) ok when making flash powder keep in mind that it can it will explode infront of your face if you do it wrong. So I advice you to make very small batches of it. VERY small batches for beginners. Once you get you used to it you still should make small batches cause accidents will happen. You should use the diaper method I gave to you more up their. And if you didn’t read this page and just skipped to the flash powder then start reading bitch!! Also the more mixed the chemicals are the more explosive it is. And also the more mesh the aluminum has the more sensitive. 600 mesh is the best but most dangerous.
Potassium perchlorate 2 ounces
Around 400 to 600 mesh Aluminum powder 1 ounce
This formula is one of the best kind there is. It will make you ears hear that squeaky noise. It is very sensitive to sparks and shit. U can also use potassium chlorate but it is just waaaay to dangerous.
Barium nitrate 3
Potassium perchlorate 3 ounces( do the math if you want grams
Aluminum powder 4
This stuff doesn’t explode much but fucking makes a big ass flash.
This is probely the most dangerous one. It can blow up to almost anything even electricity. My advice is to not even make it. But if you do stay away from it as far as possible.
This is probely the best of the best in fun not explosions. This stuff is like a firecracker but it will blow up then water is dropped on it. So look at the weather station and go to your neighbors house and poor some of this in the sink and wait till they wash it out with water. Or just place some in their back yard.
