This device burns hot, produces light effect.
This is electrically ignited burning system.
Do not ignite this at indoors (on your home). Do this
test out. This bomb is quite difficult to make
and need some experience , tests and skill to make it correctly.
This system is next: small diode burns on
direct connection to battery, and ignites "bomb" that is made from safety match head. this bomb ignites sparkler dust, that ignites coersely crushed sparkler.
You need very small silicium diode , small current diode IN 4448 or 4148 or smallest diode, that you can get from electrinics store. Make sure, that diode burns orange, when you connect it on battery.
You need some king if isolating tape and wires and batteries , voltage
3 volts or bigger. The batteries must be new, because in old batteries there is not enough voltage left.
Next you need safety matches , 20-40 sticks, plastic, aluminium foil and some sparklers.
1) Do electrically ignited match head bomb.
First you must cut matches heads with with nippers.
You can also get head material ("sulphur") for matches out with knive. Take small piece of plastic (3x3 cm or so)
and put matched material on it. Next connect wires to small silicium diode. Then isolate legs with tape.
Make sure, that wires that are coming out from diode, do not connect. Remember polarity of diode: black ring means negative. Remember, what wire comes
to + of diode , and - of diode.
Put diode to sulphur, that lies on small plastic piece. Make sure, that diode touches some match head
material. If you have grinded safety match material, making contact is easier than with matchhead.
Do bag from plastic piece, diode and and match head matreial. Plastic can be transparent.
You must use tape to shut the bag. Do not
use too much tape. You have safety match bomb, with wires. This system is maybe cigarette like, on tail there must be two wires. On head there is safety matches, thar are seen beyond transparent plastic.
If you are not sure that system works, you cvan test it connecting wires to battery on non-flammable place, and make new safety match bomb.
2) Do sparkler bomb.
Next, grind some sparkler material. You can tahe material from sparkler with pliers, next you can grind it with battery on paper. You need grind 0,5-2 little sparklers. You get sparkler dust. This is very messy stage of work. Then you must put the sparkler dust on plastic piece. You take safety match bomb, and put it on same bag with sparkler dust. then you have "bomb", "inner" is safety match bomb, "outer" is sparkler dust bomb. This is "primary" of bomb.
sparkler dust makes easier to ignite sparkler
grains with matc head material.
Next you take sparkler material grains with pliers from sparklers. 5-20 small sparklers or one "mega-sparkler". You put this on aluminium foil, that is
almost two layers. You put "primary" (matchhead bomb with sparkler dust) inside sparkler grains. Then shut aluminium foil. You get spherical device with two wires.
Use this "sparkler bomb" outside. in your home the bomb can
set your house fire!
You maybe need multimeter to test diode and batteries and soldering iron to make connections.
Then, you need four layer on bomb:
1) diode
2) safety match material
3) sparkler dust
4) sparkler grains
Critical items
1) The voltage and current of battery, use *new* over 3 V AA-sized batteries.
2) The properties of diode. Do nou use big silicium diode.
4) The polarity of diode
5) Amount of matchhead material must be over 20
small safety match head.
6) make sufe that diode and wires form not sort circuit before diode!
7) contact between diode and safety matches must be good
8) Contact between safety match material and sparkler dust must be good, no thick plastic layer between them.
