I made this discovery today. It works quite well so heres how to make it. This is pretty simple, yet effective.
You need wooden skewers and vaseline
Take a wooden skewer.
And your vaseline
Now dip the skewer into the Vaseline and swirl it around until its all covered, don’t cover it to thick or else it wont even light.
Enjoy! |

 | Mar 19, 2006 6:27 am - not bad |

 | Apr 22, 2006 12:07 am - great egg 5***...have you tried using string? it may be a more efficient way to get a longer fuse, and it will also be able to bend around. |

 | May 12, 2006 11:17 am - Really good. Simple too. But is it supposed to be let to dry? Good idea with the string ScarykidScaringkids. Gonna do this.5* |

 | Jun 14, 2006 10:24 am - Great Idea! Never thought of vaseline.
I agree, a string would be better. and itd be good to wrap it in tissue paper or something so the vaseline doesnt make a huge mess. |

 | Ju 25, 2006 6:57 pm - No it doesnt have to dry, I dont even think Vaseline dries... |

 | Jul 22, 2006 2:29 am - I think I have some vaseline laying around, I need to try this! Sounds pretty neat 4* |

 | Sep 19, 2006 12:09 pm - Yeah, 5*
I know that small quantities of vaseline do light (no big clumps lol) but ive never tried making a fuse out of it... good egg mate ;) |

 | Ja 24, 2007 11:09 am - string would be good because it would absorb the vaseline |

 | Nov 19, 2007 5:17 pm - Good idea... I tried to burn vaseline on a wire once, and it didn’t work... It must need something to keep it going, so string would probably be less effective than a wooden skewer. Five stars by the way. |

 | Nov 20, 2007 5:56 pm - It also works quite well with lip balm (I used the "Merry Hempster’s Hip Trip for Lips" but I’m sure others would work too.) | |
