The "punk gang" in my town is RSP(Rialto Street Punks) I talk to some of them but most of them are arrogant pricks.. Jul 20, 2007 9:59 am - I love punk. I’ve always been a punk rocker but you have to realize that the real authentic punk scene IS dying out. The majority of people who claim to be punks only do it for the mohawks, bullet belts, or to be in a band. The majority of underground punk is just a bunch of 15 year olds playing 3 power chords screaming about how much they hate Bush when in reality, all they know is what the media feeds them...even if that. I don’t think I’ll ever stop listening to Op Ivy or the Dead Kennedys (any many others). But the time for the real punk scene is coming to a close. It’s not dead yet, it still has a fighting chance. I think there will always be true punks out there, but their numbers become fewer every year.
