Apr 30, 2008 9:53 am - Summer! Summer break is here! As of now, I’m looking for a full time job :( I’ll probably end up at a factory somewhere around my town. I’m currently working on a few eggs that will deal with horticulure (aeroponics, wicking, harvesting, nutrients). Keep an eye out for these, might be a while though, have to wait for the plants to grow :/ Also would anyone like to see an egg about dual/multi booting with 2 or more operating systems? You can also try and click this link 2) Now in another tab, go here. 3) Right click on each file and click "Save Target As...". Jan 29, 2008 3:59 pm - Mead Explosion My mead exploded. It was a gallon full. The jug was ripped open. It was like 5 feet from the place it used to be sitting in the basement. It was also spewed up on the ceiling. I could smell the alcohol. It had been down there about 3 weeks. It was an unfinished basement so it all soaked up and it’s alright now. It had about 1 quart of honey from the hives, a little less than 3 quarts of distilled water. We activated some wine yeast w/ the honey water solution, then put it all in the basement. I know what I did wrong though. I added the solution before it had sufficiently cooled. I also secured the ballon air lock w/ tape and rubberbands because on the last wine batch I made, it had come off. The jug must have been made so loose by the heat that it became the weakest point. Jan 14, 2008 1:39 pm - Facebook fix Meh, didn’t feel like making this an actual egg, so i’ll just keep it in the blog. Ok this is a little guide to block all apps that you do not want to show up from peoples profiles. Yeah it looks long, but it really only takes a couple of seconds/minutes, I just went a little indepth so i wouldn’t lose anyone. The process will basically filter out all the apps, except for the ones that you specify are ok to stay. It won’t change you’re actuall profile or anything, it just modifiys the way that the content is displayed to you. The secret behind this is a kick ass little 5cript I found a few days ago. It uses an addon called greasemonkey which lets you modify websites with some code. Might be old news to you web gurus, but i just found out about it, so bare with me. For firefox I believe it is a downloadable addon. For Opera users (thats what I’m gonna focus on, so if you use FF, figure it out yourself :D) a built in greasemonkey-esqu java tool is already included. Now first things first, (opera only remember?) go to Tools: Prefrences: Advanced: Content , and make sure all the Java things are enabled. Now click the button that says "js Options...". Check all the boxes except for the last one ("Open console on errors"). Now you need to find an area to save your 5cripts in. I made a new folder in the C:\\Program Files\\Opera named JS. It doesn’t matter where it is, just click the "Choose" button and locate it. After all that, click OK untill all the windows are gone. Now you need to download the actual 5cript. http://user5cript .org/5cripts/source/11747. ser.js ^^^ Right Click here and choose Save as. Save it to the 5cripts folder you made earlier. By default it will stop all apps from showing except for the original ones (something like 5 or so). You will want to add at least the ones you use so that you will be able to see them on your own profile. So go to the 5cripts folder you made, and you should have the downloaded 5cript there. Right click and choose open with, then open it with wordpad. Go ahead and find the list (about 1/2 way down) and delete the // signs that are infront of the ’box_app_......... I did this because they are popular global apps that have now become standards. Now go to your applications page. There should be a little "about" link beside each application name. Open each one of these in a seperate tab. At the end of each URL (the address in the address bar) there should be a 10 digit number. (i.e. for the movie application it is 2558160538). Now copy this number, and go to the 5cript you have open in wordpad. There should be a list with code on the left and an application title on the right. To add your apps to this ignore list, go right after the last one on the list and start a new line by pressing enter. Then type ’box_app_xxxxxxxxxx rsquo;, (including both the ’ and , ). xxxxxxxxxx is the code copied from the URL. After that use the // and give a title to the application. After all your apps are added to the list, Save it, close it and restart your internet browser. Vwalla faster browsing and no more annoying apps on other peoples profiles. To add more to this ignore list, just open it up again and add what you want. Just remember to save. As far as invitations go, the best way to stop that is to click the "Block this app" link on the about page of the app in question. Basicaly LectureFox is a collection of complete college courses from a number of different universities. It’s all free and theres a lot of interesting things.
