Have you ever wished that you could have your own secret underground tunnel? This is a way to actually be able to construct a tunnel a few feet underground.
Materials:
Shovel, some spray which seals wood from water, wooden boards big enough to hide behind. And prefereably a saw and something to measure with.
Instructions!:
Okay, this might take a while but it’s worth it. You first dig a rectangular ditch which is big enough so you can climb in and be fully underground. Then shovel off a few feet of ground of either side of them for a few feet. The ends of it will be the entrance and exit. You take the spray for water-proofing the wood and spray all the sides of the boards, the more the better. You then drive 2 of the boards long ways into the ground. so their tops are level to the place which you dug out around them. Place another board in the ditch. (you can get some screws to seal it or some of that tile sealant. Make sure the boards are a tight fit so there is barely and room between the bottom board and the side. (The bottom board has to be big enough for you to move around on; but no too big or else it will cave in.) Once that is done put the other board on top. The top board has to be bigger than the tunnel itself so that it goes over the side (seal the other corners with sealant too, duct tape can even work.) There should be holes on either side of this makeshift "tunnel" (It’s not done yet.) You then pile dirt on top of the board concealing it from view. For added effect plant some grass or shrubs on top. You know have a makeshift tunnel. To make it complete if you want put a sheet of plastic (like a garbage back or something.) On either sides and weigh them down with rocks, then covering them with some dirt. This will not only make the tunnel virtually invisible but it will keep dirt from collecting in the tunnel.
Result: You have your own tunnel which you can use to hide things in, use as a hiding place, and if it leads under a fence or somewhere like that it will work as a secret passageway. (Damn, this took a long time to write.)
Oct 04, 2005 7:46 pm - This is cool and funny. When I was a kid me and my friends found a thing like this out in a field. It was complex. There were chairs and some dirty magazines. We were SOOO jealous. We tried to dig one in our friend’s back yard but her dad came out and was infuriated so we had to fill it back in.
