My friend has done this many times and has only been caught once. He rigged up a system that allowed him to steal soda from drink machines at fast food restaurants where the customers fill their own cups. My friend took one of those camelback packs (If you don’t know what a camelback is look it up on the net) and attached a long piece of tubing to it. He then strapped the pack to his lower back, under a bulky jacket to hide it. He ran the tube down the sleeve of his jacket. He then took one of the jumbo sized plastic cups from each major fast food restaurant and cut holes in their bottoms. He placed a rubber grommet in the hole. It was sized so that the end of the hose could be jammed into it and form a watertight seal. He would then go into the chosen restaurant with the cup pulled up into his sleeve. He usually chose a busy restaurant so he would not be easily noticed. Once inside he would sneak over to the drink machine and begin filling the cup. Since the camel pack was higher than the cup, the cup would fill, and not go into the pack. He had to stop filling and raise the cup into the air for it to properly drain. If he were to simply lower the cup back down to the machine, gravity would pull the soda out of the pack and back into the cup. To solve this problem my friend installed a plastic valve in the hose on the inside of his jacket. He simply turned off the valve each time he filled the cup. I am surprised that the employees were not suspicious of this. He would be standing there with his arm raised almost above his head, gripping the very bottom of the cup as to hide the hose. It looked like he was toasting something. It took about a minute for the cup to drain. He kept repeating this until the pack was full and the cup was full as well. Then he would cover the cup with a top, insert a straw and walk out of the restaurant. The only time he got caught was because he was stupid and went to a restaurant where there were not many customers. Luckily they didn’t discover his contraption; they thought he was just stealing one drink, not a 3.5 liter pack full. He simply paid for the drink and left. I wonder how he managed to get out his wallet while holding the hose-fitted cup.

It was sized so that the end of the hose could be jammed into it and form a watertight seal.
Wouldn’t that be a "Sodatight" Seal?? J/K
Cool, 4’s

Some pictures also might have clarified things.
