I’m surprised this hasn’t been posted before, but I was taken by this prank. Depending on where you live, you can do it, too!
I sometimes take a shortcut to work, and drive through some farmland. Pennsylvania farms tend to be smaller than most, and broken apart by trees and underutilized pastureland, but there’s plenty of corn to be had. I turned onto a dirt road. I’d been here before; there’s corn growing on both sides of the road.
Suddenly, I found myself off the road, and in the middle of a cornfield! I hit the brakes a few yards short of the stalks. It was a bright, sunny day, and the prank became obvious--someone had dug up dozens of cornstalks, and replanted them, in several rows, across the road.
There was probably a hillbilly or two hidden in the rafters of a nearby barn, laughing his ass off, with my head in the scope of his rifle, as I turned around and drove away.
This prank would work better at night, when the driver might not see the corn to stop in time. |

 | Oct 24, 2005 7:15 pm - thats cool,kinda hard work but badass |

 | Oct 24, 2005 7:31 pm - nice egg but it’d be hard to replant stalks on a dirt road unless the road was really soft or something |
| Oct 24, 2005 7:33 pm - I agree with blindfury that it sounds like a lot of work, but... if you’ve got a lot of time on your hands. When I was on vacation last June one of my best memories was sleeping in a cornfield, it was cleaner than the motel I stayed at...
(I wonder if they were waiting just for someone with your lovely eyes and luscious lips...) |

 | Oct 24, 2005 7:56 pm - Nice egg, but what I really like is the caption of the pic.... 5*’s. |

 | Oc 24, 2005 8:33 pm - As I am 2% Cherokee I also call corn maize! |

 | O t 24, 2005 10:36 pm - Gold H-Dogg, very nice, they recently turned a 10 acre vacant lot about 6 blocks away into farmland for some reason, so I guess they’ll have a little visit from the corn fairy tommorow. |

 | Oct 25, 2005 11:07 pm - Go out late at night with a piece of string, a tent peg, and 1x6 with a string knotted through each end and make a crop circle. Or better yet, just write(friend’s& 41; mom is a whore or something, lol |
