whenever making a phone call that for whatever reason may be illegal(such as fake or real bomb threats) a cheap, easy way of disguising your voice is to put some gum on the roof of your mouth when you talk. it’s obviously safer to use a payphone, and after placing the call, it’s best to leave the vicinity ASAP. putting a wet rag over the mouth of the phone isn’t good enough to disguise your voice.
