A Christmas Story
A story of getting arrested at Universal Studios
On Christmas morning, i woke up and opened my presents and such, then hung out with some of my friends and drove around. I went home and so did everyone else. I later received a call from Keith(friend) saying that Scott, Jackson and him wanted to go to City Walk at Universal Studios. We got a ride there with Scott’s mom and dad.
Scott and his parents are Jewish and it turned out that there was some kind of Jewish Festival there in celebration of Hanukkah. There were so many Jews with Yamikas and even some that looked like Amish people...Good god was I scared.
We got bored listening to crappy Jewish music, so we left and went to the opening of "Islands of Adventure" which along with "Universal Studios" is connected to City Walk. We were trying to scale the lighthouse tower but too many employees walked by and we didn’t want to risk being kicked out, plus it was wet as hell so it was slippery.
Then out of nowhere, a brigade of employees on electric wheelchairs came hauling ass around the light tower and went in the IOA park exit gate. We concocted a mischievous plan to sneak into IOA while it was closed. It was around 10:30 PM and the park had been closed for hours, the employees only left the exit gate open for returning the Electric wheelchairs. This was our chance, if we were going to sneak in the park, we would have to go now. We all sprinted through the gate and down the road into the park rides area. There was no turning back now. The streets were empty, no one was around except for the select few employees that could care less if there were a couple of delinquents running around the closed park, they strolled by, some laughing. We set out into the park, taking pictures of us with everything. Some of the pictures were us being stupid, some were just empty streets to prove to the RE community what we had done.
We were nearing the "Toon Lagoon when suddenly, a white van with 2 security gaurds rolled up. We explained to them that we didn’t know we were supposed to have tickets and told them that we were just snapping pictures. They said "Okay, we’ll just take you back to City Walk". We took a mocking picture with the tiny security guy in the van. We thought we were in no trouble at all. Boy was i wrong They hoodwinked us, they took us to the Security Center in the back of IOA. I took a few shots of the back of the park with all the secret roads but the camera flashed on the van window and they came out really bad.
We got to the place and they dropped us off with @ giant security guards. We explained to us that we didn’t steal anything, what was the big deal? Shortly after writing a report, the head of security came in. He asked us what happened and we told him we walked through the gate. He didn’t belive us because the employees were supposed to watch it. He reviewed the security video tapes and it showed that we did infact, go through the gate.
He still didn’t want us to get off that easy, he called Scott’s parents and told them what happened but leid and said we jumped the fence to get in. Then the cops showed up. Thats when we got scared as hell. They took our IDs and wrote reports and gave us all Tresspassing Warrents to all of the parks for one year. They said they could of pressed charges. Then they told us all these bullshit charges that we had against us.
Scott’s parents finally came and were in shock to see us detained by all them. They told them the whole story in their eyes(which was a total lie)and his mom got pissed. We finally got to go home and 11:44 PM and then Scott’s parents talked my mom into grounding me even though she didn’t really care about the ordeal.

All that because the Head of Security lied to our parents. Oh, well it was totally worth it. The whole point of going in was to make an exploration egg.
Dec 28, 2005 9:42 pm - all you had to do was call the park director and got his ass fired for lieing because if he saw you walk through the gate but didnt want to get in trouble for it so he lied and said you broke in thats why they had charges against you

That is pretty funny, cops always make up bullshit charges against you, and as long as you don’t get tricked into admitting to something(it’s called entrapment, which is illegal, but cops do it anyway) then you should be golden.

I could, I should take off one star but they were quality photos and made me laugh. 5* and by far one of the best exploration eggs Ive seen in a good while!

Dec 28, 2005 10:17 pm - Something similar to that happened to me in my younger years. But it was a lot more serious since it was in Washington DC, I was on a school trip and got in a lot of trouble claiming I was a terrorist and such, I denied nothing. 5*’s
Dec 28, 2005 10:18 pm - hahaha that fucking sucks.. Pretty ballsy, I always switch to the "nice, polite, meant no harm" mode myself when I’m caught, so as not to piss them off. How long were you in there before they picked you up? didnt you know they had cameras? pretty cool pretty cool.

Dec 29, 2005 10:28 pm - Hahahaha that’s awesome. I got kicked out of IOA when I went to Halloween Horror Nights drunk. I didn’t get banned for a year though, they just told me not to come back drunk again. Good pictures!
