This is an egg for those serious about their work in the stealing market. It’s not for some hotshot 15-year-old who’s looking to tuck the latest Madden game under his jacket and run. My other egg, ID#5549, is for those type of people.
As I started out that egg, I shall start this one out.
"Stealing is stupid."
Now, this scam works only if you have two people with common sense involved. You’ll need a buddy, someone you don’t have to go out of your way to pay off.
Either he, or you, gets a cashier job at your closest store, such as Wally world, Kmart or Target. As with my other egg, Kmart is the best.
Now, on your (or their) application, say you really want to work in the electronics department... it’s what you know and love. If you can’t get that position, move on.
Once in there and after you’ve learned the register, etc. it’s time to throw the plan into action.
You (or your buddy) walks up to the counter and picks out which video games you (he) wants. Pick one you don’t want, three or four you do want. He scans the game you don’t want, thus creating what we call a "transaction", and pretends to scan the others by running the gun across the front of the game, rather than the back where the barcode is. In Kmart, they rub the game over a de-magnetizer at checkout, so you have no worries about any alarm.
Once all the games are "scanned" you hand him your money, he gives you your change and receipt and you’re out the door.
With everything, there’s a hard part. Here it is.
When you leave a store after paying anywhere other than the front, they want to check your receipt. If your bag has five games and your receipt has one... bingo, problem. To avoid this, either shop at Kmart where they hardly ever check receipts, even when the alarm sounds or use a garden/auto exit. Personally, Ive never run into the receipt-checking problem, but its possible. Ive also walked out of Wally world with a paid for printer, no bag, coming from electronics and nothing was said.
Should you perform everything on a customer/cashier basis, this will work. To onlookers, its a normal looking transaction. Although you should make sure no one else is around obviously, but customers arent that big of an issue. To security cameras, which are no doubt plentiful near the cashiers station and in the electronics department in general, nothing looks out of the ordinary.
Do this twice or so a week for as long as you can stand the #*@! job. Ten games a week, forty a month. Dont want them? Then sell them.
Oh yeah, remember that game you didnt want that I told you to get and make sure was the one that was scanned? Take it back. You wont be out a penny, thus the title of this egg.
So you might have a problem getting someone to goto work for the store, but I cant help you there. This certainly does have its perks, and if you have the balls, can pretty much clean them out of games in a one month stretch, thus turning a multi thousand dollar profit. It isnt like you wont be getting a $150 paycheck each week out of it, right?
This also works for other items, in case you didnt know. Example:
27" TV and a bottle of Pepsi. Scans the Pepsi, pretends to scan the TV. Simple as that... of course good luck getting out of the door without them checking your receipt on THAT one. |

 | Mar 26, 2005 4:36 pm - WONT WORK Yeah too bad in most stores if you are short cash or something is missing from your department they check on you and sometimes they make you pay... but yeah... i would recommend this at littler store.. even ones that dont scan your items.. or you could just (at the stores without scanners) type in the wrong amount of money and everything will look legit |

 | Aug 26, 2005 1:55 am - i agree but you could just place the "Good" game’s cd in the bad game’s box while scanning then nothing goes wrong. and if they ask remeber... YOUR NEW. free get out of jail free card | |
