Everytime I go to the search page I see this:
So I’m going to do you all a favor and tell you how to break into a computer running windows.
Note: There are ways to protect yourself from this, so this will only work on personally owned computers. Businesses and schools can and will disable it. Now lets get started.
First, turn on the computer you want to break into. As the computer boots up, tap the f8 key repeatedly until the screen below pops up, and choose "Safe Mode With Networking".
If you are prompted for anything just click "Yes". Now, choose the user "Administrator".
Once again, if you are prompted for anything just click "Yes".
Now, you could go into the control panel and just remove the password, but that would be pretty suspicious. Instead, I’ll show you how to find it out.
First, Download Cain and Abel here. Once it’s installed, run "Cain".
Select the "LSA Secrets" tab.
Then, look toward the top and you’ll find the password/passwords with periods between it’s/their letters.
Now, just shut off the computer, boot it up like you would normally do, then put the password in.
Note: Do NOT type the periods in with the password.

 | Mar 04, 2006 4:40 am - I run Windows XP SP1 on a single user notebook (no domain account).
Recently I did a few security check and was shocked about Cain
oxid.it/cain.html showing me the plain text of my top secret
password which I only use on that notebook.
After a couple of hours of google research and sysinternals-diagnostics
found that LSASS writes the following registry keys whenever I change
my password:
HKLM\Security\ olicy\Secrets\DefaultPassw rd\CurrVal
HKLM\Security\P licy\Secrets\DefaultPasswo d\CupdTime
HKLM\Security\P licy\Secrets\DefaultPasswo d\OldVal
HKLM\Security\Pol cy\Secrets\DefaultPassword OupdTime
I swear that autologon, which could be a reason for storing the
password, was never enabled.
Removing DefaultPassword and serveral other registry keys under
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Micro oft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogo such as
AltDefaultUserName
De aultUserName
and setting restrictive security option, e.g., not showing the name of
the last user who logged in did not help. All these keys were created
again, together with DefaultPassword.
Now I’m stuck. I do not want to have my password in decryptable form
anywhere in the system, neither in the registry nor in any kind of
"protected" storage.
As soon as I type in my password the system should hash it an forget
it. |

 | Mar 04, 2006 8:08 am - shaggy, if you want to make your computer protected, log in as administrator as I say in the egg, and go into the control panel and give the acconut a password. Then it will be impossible to get into your computer without a password using windows. Theres still the possibility of someone using damn small linux, but ehh. |

 | Jul 15, 2006 7:31 am - Remote access Very cool. However, I need to be able to access an XP computer remotely over a WAN, without having physical access to the machine...I have not found a way of doing this so far - any ideas? I either need to get the admin password OR I need to be able to inject my own account (with admin rights) remotely. Any suggestions would be welcome. |

 | Nov 12, 2006 2:47 am - Wow This is pretty cool and the best thing... IT WORKS! |
