Oct 25, 2009 10:41 pm - 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4.7 V8 I bought a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo.
235hp, 290ft lbs of torque from the 4.7 V8. (Goodbye gas mileage xD)
The truck has about 87k miles on it. Fully loaded, leather interior, seat heaters, Quadra Drive. As well as an aftermarket stereo and remote starter.
Guy wanted $4900, but it needs all new brakes, 2 new tires (just to pass NY inspection), plus new U joints, and ball joints on the driver side, so I offered $3500, and he accepted.
I’ll have more outside shots tomorrow if I remember. At any rate, 5* all around, and feel free to post your cars (essentially a mini post your car thread, lol).
Sorry, forgot to add get a Haynes or Chilton book. They both have complete info on your new ride.
Thanks, I’ll look into them, I’m assuming they’re good otherwise you wouldn’t be suggesting them.

that things beautiful compared to my fucking ’93 ford ranger. i think i should do an egg on it one day...
Thanks, lets see some pictures!
But its not all smooth sailing, as I was tinkering with it today, (haven’t bought any of the big ticket items, so I’m just f-ing around with little stuff) found out, I have some electrical problem causing the left taillight to function in either headlights mode, OR braking lights mode, but if I have the lights on and hit the brakes at the same time, the light shuts off and the others work fine... Wtf... Hopefully its something simple and not some massive electrical problem. Also found out that my rear windshield wiper motor is shot, needs to be replaced. In addition, it seems as if my e-brake does not function mechanically, as well as will not turn the light on, on the dashboard. Gah, this is getting more and more fun.
Oct 26, 2009 8:17 pm - Nice looking truck you got thar.
Brake/tail light issue:
You have bad connections in the tail light assemblies. It’s a common problem with Jeeps.
Take out your tail light assembly. There should be three bulb holders. Twist them about a quarter turn to remove them. Then clean the contacts on the board and the holders with emery cloth or ~400 grit sandpaper. Also bend the tabs a bit to give a better connection.
Oct 26, 2009 8:47 pm - thanks fo’ the five yo, to you too.
neither of my blinkers work. they don’t blink at least. probably a fuse problem. you should try that too before you screw anything with your lights up lol. but i guess my truck kicks more ass than anybodys cuz its been totaled 4 times so far...im not shitting you...

I was waiting for you to comment, lol.
I’ll try that tomorrow and let you know. I really hope it is something that simple, though, I was just in there. I mean, I just replaced the bulb, then saw the light problem. Either way Dodge, thank you, and if you don’t mind, I’m sure I’ll be coming to you with a bunch more questions about it :]
Also, I like the Old’s, nice car, lol. I personally love boats. When I was looking at cars, it actually came down between this and a 1998 Lincoln Mark VIII, but then I realized how much I missed having 4WD, and that this would be the first winter without it. As well as the fact I would have nothing to go off roading in anymore properly (Poor Poor 94 Cherokee... Why did your Uni-body have to crack... why why why [wipes tear])
5* to you Dodge, and hell, for the advice, 5* on everything

Please, do share, I’m quite interested now, hah. 4 times of totaling must have you in that thing for more than double what you paid for it...
Oct 27, 2009 5:27 pm - LoL, thanks. Take your time with the 5’s. I r patient.
Any time you need help, ask. I enjoy the challenge.

Look under your steering column. There is a blue box clipped under there. That’s the turn signal/emergency flasher. Go to the dealer and tell them you need a new one. Give them this part number: 5L5Z 13350 AA
Or better yet, hand them the old one.
Or go to your local auto parts store, or the junk yard (look in ’93-ish cougars, mustangs, tbirds, etc.. They used the same one).
It should look something like this (I think):
Sorry Myincrediblycreativename, for momentarily hijacking your blog... :-P

ha yea, pretty much. my dad bought it in ’95 for about 5k. he totaled it once, my bro totaled it twice, and i totaled it once. and the brakes, transmission, shit with the tires, and body work have all been tinkered with several times. This adds up to well over 5 grand. but hey, it’s been a faithful vehicle over the years (16!) and i don’t plan on giving it up until it fucks up again...which will be soon...
Oct 29, 2009 2:40 pm - Dodge, your 5* are all taken care for :]

I’m about to go try that right now, hope it works.
Nov 04, 2009 9:36 pm - I dunno yet, I haven’t been able to get to it, haha. When I said I was going to go out in the garage and check it out, I ended up taking apart the front brakes and found out the driver’s side CV boot was tore open, so I had to take that all out, and of course the bolts were rusted solid, so out came the torch :D haha.
Jun 03, 2009 5:40 pm - Thank You Consecutive Days Why thank you consecutive days loss for bashing me back to 84.
Jun 07, 2009 10:29 am - I’m missing quite a few as well, as I recall, when the days went down last time, I was around 335 consecutive days, now I am at 328.
Jun 15, 2009 9:13 am - I was 268, now im in the low 400’s
May 16, 2009 8:56 pm - I is master egg :D I reached level 30 finally, time to be initiated into the master egg club [bends over, seeing the paddle on the wall] hahhah
5* to all those who post of course
Also, I want mah damn email address! >:O ..If only
May 18, 2009 5:06 pm - Hell yeah! And you were talking about how I climbed the level ladder so quick? Props dude! 5*
If only I had my masteregg account, then I’d be able to rape you with even more sticky 5* goodness!

WELL, maybe if a certain bastard hadn’t given away his account! :D haha kidding of course, I was just :[ to see you leave the first time.
Just randomly looked at the "Egg to Eggpoint Spreadsheet" thing and saw this. Thought it was kinda cool, so in the spirit of it, 5* to all who post, you know the drill, lol.
Mar 08, 2009 6:21 am - Happy Birthday 5* to you (a bit late :-P)!
I kustom designed you a birthday cake, but ShopRite refuzed to make it. So, I made you one myself:
Apr 20, 2009 4:14 am - Well... It is kinda a crappy cake. :-P
Feb 22, 2009 11:54 am - Upgraded a hell of a lot So thanks to the most recent post your interest thread, I was made aware of the fact my interest rate would not be ass-raped if I upgraded, so I went from level 10 to level 20 in the last two days, gaining about 1% interest and about 3000 extra points a day, woohoo! haha
So of course the customary 5* to all who post in this blog.
Feb 24, 2009 1:50 pm - Alright, I went through 5*’ed everyone’s stuff, all their stuff, eggs and all. Also, to be fair I went through the people up above my last comment and 5*’ed all their eggs too.
(BTW Gimp and Coopz, jeez you guys 30 some eggs for both of you, :P I figured I was gonna be auto-banned cause the site was gonna register me as auto-voting cause I had each egg in a different tab, not all at once of course hahha)
moneyballz to Bier: I do rate people because of their forum posts. But I posted the rating for effect, I was showing what I would hypothetically rate it...not that you caught on (but hey, you know this website really well: you\\\\&& 35;8217;re almost a power egg!)
Has anyone ever used you to wipe their ass? I just took a shit on Nos, wanna help me out here?
Get your little ass off this website. Scram before I crank a nut.
Dec 04, 2008 10:19 pm - Want Computer Help? (Program Usage, OS Usage, Etc.) A buddy of mine has asked me to advertise for his website. He provides computer training (both basic and advanced) at a low cost to you. (You pay for a sub5cription and then you are able to watch videos on the site)
There is everything on his site from basic Windows usage to Advanced Microsoft Access Database Development, and so much more, so even if you are an avid computer user like AE or something, you will be able to find something.
Even if you aren’t interested in buying anything, at least check the site out, leave some feedback in here about what you think about the layout, interface etc. Maybe take a look at purchasing the sampler CD, which is a holiday special, only pay the shipping on the CD which is $1.92 (inside the US) and never fear my international friends, he ships worldwide, its just a dollar extra for shipping outside of the US.
On the sampler there are 6+1 lessons. 6 full courses which are predetermined (Windows Vista 1, XP 1, 2, and 3, Microsoft Word 1, and Using the Internet 1) and one other course you can pick from a list of full courses, remember these are all full courses guys, not demos.
Now I know most every single person on RE knows what would be taught on the sampler disc, however it would make a great stocking gift for some of the more computer illiterate in our families.
However, like I said before, he has both basic and advanced courses on his site, so even those of us who already know what we are doing on the computer will be able to find something to learn. (There are even Photoshop classes, those are the ones I like to watch)
Alright, the rest I suppose you can learn by checking out the site.
Dec 05, 2008 5:00 pm - Ask him to do some linux tutorials. It’ll get me off of NPE’s back when i need help.
Nov 23, 2008 10:22 am - Upgraded Finally So for the longest time I was sitting at level 9 debating whether to upgrade or not, and due to an egg I am in the process of writing I decided to do it so I would have some room to gather points if it does well. I was (pleasantly) surprised at how it didn’t effect my interest rate much.
So hell, I’ll follow the crowd, and do what everyone else does.
Nov 23, 2008 4:19 pm - Yea, I know what you mean, just make sure that when you level up, you still have enough in reserve so you get a decent amount for interest. Thats really what I was worried about, losing my interest points.
Aug 07, 2008 8:24 pm - Sports Bets Every once in a long while I get the great idea to participate in a sports bet on RE. And why is it every time that it seems to be a guaranteed win, I lose miserably. You think I would learn my lesson, but no, I still come back for more every couple of weeks and lose a couple thousand more points. Grr Fuckin New England..... haha
Aug 07, 2008 9:49 pm - Hell, I live Baltimore and no one expected them to win. Surprised the shit out of me and the people I was watching it with. At least its only points and not like real cash.
Aug 07, 2008 10:54 pm - Are you serious? I would bet against NE in every preseason game besides the 3rd and I’m a diehard fan. Reason: Bill Belichick doesnt play his starters in the preseason for more then a few plays. Brady wasnt playing. Welker and Moss werent playing. Hell even most of the D line wasnt playing.
