This is an egg displaying the trophy pics which I have tricked a Nigerian scammer into sending to me. If you are curious about how I did this, then I suggest you continue to read this egg. Otherwise, just check out my pictures
If you are not familiar with what ScamBaiting is, than you can read all about it in another egg of mine. RIGHT HERE
But to sum it up for you Scam Baiting is a fast growing internet sport. If you have ever received a Nigerian email requesting your help, you are familiar with what type of scams I am referring to (they are called 419 scams). You reply to an email that is a 419 type scam, and you pretend to be interested. These conversations with the scammers can be very long lasting and elaborate, often times costing the scammers lots of wasted time and money.
The bait that I have pulled is a scam in its self. But since I am pulling this on an actual scammer, it is ok because I am just giving him a taste of his own medicine. Also note that this guy contacted me first, providing a fake name and fake information, he is scum and deserves whatever hell that can be given to him.
Having said that, allow me to introduce you to how this bait was constructed. Basically I just made up an elaborate story to trick him into taking a bunch of photos of Nigeria, in turn costing him money and wasting his precious scamming time. My original Nigerian scammer directed me to a "friend" of his who is interested in doing the project for me, but a quick scan of the IP addresses reveals that his "friend" was actually the same person. I sence I am being deceived :D
From: me (duke)
To: the Nigerian scammer (cassidy)
Dear Mr. Cassidy
Hello, my name is Duke Igthorn
I was directed to you by your friend Greg. Thank you for your interest in my company project. You should know already that I am contacting you as a potential partner to arrange sending me photography of your city and country. Allow me to give you some background about my company and what we do.
I work for a photography distribution company called Advanced Freelance Photography. It is our job to obtain mass amounts of photographs from all over the world, and then sell these photographs to an array of different companies all over the world. On a regular basis we deal to magazine companies, newspaper editors, film studios and many other types of wealthy business industries.
I am contacting you because I particularly need pictures of a third world city setting. I need lots of pictures of your city. The pictures do not need to be taken by a professional photographer, they don’t even have to be taken with an expensive camera. I just need regular photos of as many places and people in your city as possible. If you decide to take the job, I will give you a few more guidelines for things to take pictures of, but for the most part, you will have a lot of freedom to snap pictures of whatever you want.
I am fast closing in to a deadline that needs to be reached, and it is my job to obtain these particular types of photos. I have been searching for somebody such as your self to help me for a couple of weeks now, and I am starting to get desperate. I am willing to pay a lot of money for each photo in the album that you send to me, with quality playing a factor in payment of course. I will pay 20 - 50$ per photo in the album. You will receive a bonus of 500$ for every photo that is actually sold and published somewhere. You are guaranteed to receive at least 20$ per photo that you send, but as I said before, quality will play a factor, so you are likely to receive more. If you try hard to take good and creative photos, you would likely receive an average of 40-50 dollars per photo. For the final album you send to me; I can only accept a minimum of 50 photos, and a maximum of 700 photos.
The job is not a hard one, and it does not require you to have any prior photography experiance. You will need to fund all of the expenses yourself, but the small investment will be well worth your time and money. The rate in which I am paying per picture is very high even for American standards.
Please consider this offer and get back to me.

Advance Freelance Photography
After sending this email he seemed interested and we exchanged conversation for a while. He tried hard to get money in advance, but I bluntly refused every time. I also made some fake contracts and Identification to make my offer seem more legit, and to further hook him into my bait. I even called him on the phone from a safe number, just as the scammers always do. I basically used every technique that the scammers use on their victims, and I used it right against him.
I currently have more pictures coming into my inbox everyday. he is supposed to send me 100 pictures in total for the first "album".

Mar 14, 2006 3:03 pm - ^^^yeah a couple of them didn’t upload for some reason. But he actually sent me 25 more photos today, although I don’t feel like resizing and uploading them right now (unless somebody really wants to see them)
I have a hand writing bait about to get started also.
