Alright, this egg will show you how to trace IP addresses.
Some information before we start...
IP stands for internet protocol. Every computer comes with its own unique IP, which is like a finger print. If you are caught downloading illegal software, your IP can be used to trace you. Also, if you try to brute force into something, your IP is left all over the server. If you are constantly downloading software illegaly, it would be a good idea to follow the instructions on Albino’s egg, which can be found here. Albino’s egg shows you how to set up a proxy, which “cloaks” your real IP address so it would be harder to trace you.
Now, onto the egg!
The first thing you need in order to trace an IP address is the victim’s IP. In some cases, if you are dealing with a major newb over AIM, tell them to right click, click on insert, then click on IP. Then tell them to hit the enter key on their keyboard, and that’s it. I have gotten lots IP’s using that method. If that doesn’t work, then just follow the instructions on other eggs on how to get IP’s.
The second thing (or program, in this case) is NeoTrace. You can download it here (copy and paste the link because hot links don’t work with this link)... http://www.megaupload.com/?d=AIMPW2O0
It is around 1~2MB. If the file ever gets deleted, please contact me so I can do something about it.
Now, install the program, and set your location. Once you have your victims IP, input it in the field shown in the picture.
Now click on the “Go” button. You should start hearing some beeping noises, that means that the program is trying to locate the location of the IP. Once it is finished, there should be a line from your location to your victims location, like so.
You can also input the URL’s of websites, such as www.rotteneggs.com.

You are supposed to look around for the download link!
The download dialog doesn’t just pop up like normal sites. A pop up comes up, you are supposed to click on the X. But, try this link...
