Well I am happy with playing my PS2 and playing on an X-Box every now and then but there are times when I want to play some games that I used to play when I was younger like Super Mario 3 on Super Nintendo and things like that. I however don’t have those systems anymore and i dont have the money to buy them and the games now. Thankfully there are Emulators in which you can use to play the games.
The defination of A Hardware Emulator is:
A hardware emulator is a hardware that can run programs for the original hardware without any modification or a hardware that have exactly the same function as the original hardware. Example: Printer Emulator (inside the ROM of the printer), FPGA based emulator.
A popular use of emulators is to mimic the experience of running arcade games or console games on Linux, Mac OS X, and Microsoft Windows. Emulating these on modern desktop computers is usually less cumbersome than relying on the original machines. However, software licensing issues may require emulator authors to write original software that duplicates the functionality of the original computer’s bootstrap ROM and BIOS, often through high-level emulation.
So Basically it lets you play video games through your computer by use of a program called an emulator.
So what you need to do is first download an emulator.
Now i will be showing you how to download and operate a Super Nintendo Emulator.
First Click the Super Nintendo Link
Then scroll down and click on Snes9x
Then click on Snes9x 1.43 and select save to disk
Then open up the file from where ever you had it downloaded to and run it.
It will look like this when it comes up.
Then click file and click load game
But wait! You need to first get some games to play!
First go here

and click on Snes thats under roms
Now we will be downloading Super Mario All Stars because that has super mario 1,2,3 and Super mario world all in one.
Now you have to scroll down and click on the S
and scroll all the way down till you get to Super Mario All Stars and click on it
Then click on Download This Rom. Don’t worry about the vote thing you don’t have to click on it
Then it will say at the bottom of the screen wait 15 for the download link and then it will appear. Click on it but make sure your Firewall is off or you will get the wrong link and you wont be able to download it
Once it is downloaded make a folder and put it in your C drive and go back to the emulator and click on file and load game and this should come up.
Then click on the folder where you put the ROM you downloaded and double click on the ROM.
And viola it should work!
here are some screen shots of what it should look like.
Now the default controls for this emulator are the arrow keys and S,D,X,C but you can change them up in the taskbar under input by clicking on joystick configuration. Now there are many more emulators that play all kinds of games as well are there many different kinds of ROMS. I just showed you this one because i like Mario and SNES is one of my favorite Game Systems.

Ma 31, 2006 4:50 am - very good work! of course a 5! Altough i have knew it for a long time. But remember... wanna play Playstaion 2 ore Xbox? Donīt forget to download some bios-files and grafhical files and setup on the program. Ore you wonīt be able to play the cd:s on the computer. i will help if you need. And again 5!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (excuse my spelling, iīm Swedish)
Mar 31, 2006 4:52 am - Forgot one thing, Like RPGīs? then try the SEGA CD emulator and download the game LUNAR! some complicated work but when it works then it is worth it for sure!
May 08, 2006 6:37 am - Answer You said you had problem with other emulator? Try to find some drivers. If it doesnīt work, find another emulaotr because there are not many who works perfectly.
May 26, 2006 12:19 pm - cool its good but when i try to open a rom that i have saved nothing appears but if i search it using my documents its there how can i find them?
Jul 09, 2006 4:02 pm - hmm thats weird every time i try unzip a file and try to play it it says that the files are corrupt or something, but i followed your directions exactly. any advice?
