I have just found this program that can be used for recoarding guitar(or any other intrument). ts is a very easy program, probably the easiest on i have ever used and as a very good sound quality if you own a good microphone. I have a puchased copy of the newest version of adobe adutionand i personally belive that mixcraft is alot better.
All you need is an interument and a microphone.
Here is the link to the site.

I suggest you listen to the sound quilty before you decide to download it.
Here is one ferequntly asked question "What is multitracking"?
Multitracking is when you can record over and over something you have recored so lets say if you want to put some rythem guitar in first you can add the drums bass and lead guitar after.
This is a great program and i suggest downloading it if your into recording music.
P.S Sorry about the link i wasnt to sure on how to add them yet :(
