 | Apr 07, 2006 7:37 am - Hey i hope you people like this group, i made it because i could not find one about welding. I am currently restoring a 1964 Chevy pick-up. I will post pics as soon as i can. |

 | Apr 07, 2006 10:23 pm - this could be a pretty sweet group it needs more ppl though... i love to weld and fuck with shit...me and another guy are workin on puttin a 440cc engine on my old go cart and we are pretty much remaking the whole thing. i might post pics when we r done. im estamating that we can get it to go around 60-80 mph.
oh post some pics of the truck your workin on. we have two 66’ chevys... they would have the same body style as the 64 your working on |

 | Apr 08, 2006 12:04 am - i would post some pics of it, but i never got o takin pictures of it. I have it in stroage of now in Missori. But as soon i can, i will get pictures of it. Interor, exteror, engine, everything. They have the same body style? So yurs have a concave inward nose on the hood right? I got a new engine put in mine, its a small block somethin..i forgot the name, but it is nice. New bed liner, i am keepin it classic, but with some modifications. Pictures coming soon. |

 | Apr 08, 2006 12:06 am - 440cc FUCKING ENGINE..shit that is goin to be crazy. I hope you weld a new mount or renforce the old one...or that puppy will rip that go-cart a new one. |

 | Apr 08, 2006 12:23 am - yea we r re-inforcing some parts of the frame and we are pretty much making the back half of the frame from scratch. its gonna fly when we get done. the 440cc engine is 2 stroke and its from a snowmobile. we are using the snowmobiles clutch and then runing a chain to a sprocket on the axle. |

 | Apr 08, 2006 12:48 am - joined. |

 | Apr 08, 2006 12:50 am - SO yur using a cintrifical clutch..that will work well, i hope the grear ratio is right, because that is a big motor, and it will rip the teeth straight out of the socket, unless the whole socket comes off, if yur not carful. good luck to you on that. i hope to see pics.. |

 | Apr 09, 2006 6:10 pm - Ive got a bit of welding gear,,a 135amp mig welder a 200amp stick welder,oxy gear ,a hiost etc etc
I’ll get some pics up and running in 2 weeks when I get back from holidays...
Im a hydraulic engineer and welder by trade..Ive restored a couple of bikes a 1948 Jawa (see my profile for a pic),,currently doing up my FJ1100 Yamaha and 1984 Jeep cherokee.
Its about time RE got a group like this,,we can swap some good info. |

 | Apr 09, 2006 8:26 pm - the hydralic cylinders are for the suspension... they are kinda like big neumatic actuators. they are made to extend when oil is pumped into them, but instead im gonna fill them with compressed air and put a plug in the hole. then it will act like a shock. |

 | Apr 09, 2006 8:40 pm - ^ air suspention..nice. I didnt know you could do that. thats cool. I learned something. Does it have diskbrakes or just a like ghetto verson of it? |
