Using Tor and Provoxy to stay anonymous

a bonus with this is its 100% anonymous, all the logs are on your pc, and it is never offline.

well as you know i like using tor and prixoy to stay anonymous, so ill show you guys how to do it.

what you need first:
torcp
privoxy
firefox
torbutton

what you do:
download the bundle with torcp and privoxy: http://tor.eff.org/download.html.en

run the installer and dont change anything, just keep clicking next.

when done, load up tor, you should see a black DOS screen, leave it until it says "Tor has successfully opened a circuit, looks like it’s working" once thats done close it.

now thats done go to where you installed tor and privoxy, and run torcp.exe and privoxy.exe.

when tor is running succesfully youll see an onion in the taskbar with a green tick on it. and privoxy will be a blue circle with a P, it turns green when in use. it should look like this

now for firefox, you just download and install torbutton, and you just click it when you want firefox to run tor. and for general internet connection (DSL) go to. internet properties>connections>lan settings>advanced>check the use a proxy for your lan>click the now unlocked advanced button>fill all the fields with "localhost" or "127.0.0.1" as the ip and 8118 as the port no.

now your anonymous, and as with most proxy’s it isnt amazingly fast but it makes you safe :D
