OK, say you want to trick someone in to clicking a link (perhaps a referall), but you know they’ll look to see what it is first, and then won’t click it.
Well, I’m going to show you a simple way to make a redirecting html page.
First pick a website you want to trick someone to go to. For an example, I’m going to use http://www.yoursite.com/yourpage.html, but it can be any webpage on the net.
Now, open up notepad and type the code in the image below (Rotteneggs won’t let me put tags in eggs/forums etc, so its a picture file, deal with it).
Now click save in the file menu. Change "*.txt" to "index.html" (no quotes).
Now go to Bravenet, and register for a free account.
Once you get your account set up, make sure you’re in the members area and click Manage Hosting.
Just stick with the free hosting (obviously), name your website whatever you want, for now we’ll use yoursite.bravehost.com, and click file manager.
Click browse next to upload file, choose index.html, and upload it.
Now you just link someone to yoursite.bravehost.com, and when they go there, they will be redirected to the site specified in the html file!
Perfect for referal links and meatspins.
