This egg sort of goes together with my last egg, Trace people using their IP’s (K.Z.). I received a lot of eggmails asking me how to get an IP, so I just decided to make this egg.
There are many ways to get an IP, but I will show you my favorite way.
The first thing you need to use this method is an account on StatCounter.com. Click on the picture below to sign up.
Now that you have an account there, create an account on a free host. Here are a couple:
I suggest FreeWebs because it’s really easy to use. Now, create a new page in your FreeWebs account by clicking the “site manager” link, as shown in the picture below.
Then click on this:
Name the page something normal, like “mypage”. Now let’s get back to StatCounter. Log into your account and create a new project by clicking on “Add New Project”.
Click on the radio button that is on the top, as shown in the picture.
Now click on “next”.
You should get to a page that looks like this:
Name the website title something like “Get IP’s”. Then put in the URL of the page that you made into the next text area. Fill the rest of the things in as you please. When you get to the IP blocking section, it will show your IP. Copy and paste it into the section so that if you visit your own rigged page, your IP will not show up. Uncheck the box where it allows the public to view your stats and click on next.
Now you should be at a page that says that your code has been created. Click on the image that looks like this:
You should get to a page that looks like this:
Click on the button which is circled in red in the picture and click on next.
On this page, just click on the following:
Then click on next.
When you get to this page, click on the radio button that I chose and click on next.
You will get to a page that looks like this.
Right click on the text area which has the code and copy it. Now let’s get back to FreeWebs again.
Log into your account and go to the site manager section. Go to the row which has the new page that you created earlier and click on the image circled in red:
You should be taken to a page which is a blank document. Paste in the code from StatCounter into here. You can also add some stuff to make your site look realistic. Once you are done, click on the image with the floppy on it in the top left corner to save the changes.
Now, get your victim to click on the link. Once they said that they did, log into StatCounter and click on the new project that you made.
You will be taken to a page that shows the visits to your FreeWebs page. To view the visitor’s IP, just click on the “Recent Pageload Activity” link on the left, under the “statistics” section.

Apr 15, 2006 2:45 pm - Anyone that knows how to hack or knows much about computers already knows this and telling people that dont already know how to do it are just clueless of what to do with it and they try to download some crappy program were you type in an ip and it hacks that computer which is bull and none work
Apr 15, 2006 2:54 pm - u could easily just write a 5cript to log an ip when someone goes to the site. ur better off making it so they dont have to click a link, like using a php generated image, or using flash getURL to bring them there. or u could host a picture off ur own network and sniff the traffic. or u could do a file transfer on aim and get the ip with netstat.
theres a million ways u can do it but theyre all pretty pointless. tracing it is usually inaccurate, i doubt anyone here knows how to root ppl, and trojans are gay but if ur gonna use them u can just do an email or php notify

YOU HAVE TO HAVE YOUR VICTIM VISIT YOUR PAGE!
You can obtain their IP much easier with just a little bit of Social Engineering
Call the person or instant message them
(If you do not know their number or SN then don’t even bother...
What is the point of breaking into someone’s computer if you do not know whetehr or not they have anything)
This works best with people who are computer illeterate but can work on most people
Just tell them that you are getting an error on your computer and you need to have them check something
when they ask what
tell them to go to
www.whatsmyip.org
and have them read you their IP
which can be done by saying something along the lines of
"OK, now I need you to read me that large number across the top"
Ap 20, 2006 5:06 pm - That method is lame. I know you are trying to help, but that is about the suckiest method around. It would be easier to just ask them to go to your "new site". It is much less suspicious then having them do that. Best of all, they don’t know that you have their IP.
