Nov 07, 2007 5:08 pm - The power of suggestion
I’ve been experimenting a lot lately with the manipulation of minds. It’s actually lots of fun, and surprisingly easy to make a complete fool of somone, or just convince them to give you money.

One instance of this was when I gave an acidophilus pill (digestive aid) to a neighbor of mine, and told him it was a mild hallucinogenic I picked up in holland; he at first complained that it wasn’t doing anything, but five minutes later, he actually started to see things in different colours than usual, and then got a splitting head ache (I never knew why he got the head ache). I took the "head ache" as an opportunity to mess with him even more, by saying that some people have allergic reactions to the drug, and that if it gets hard to breathe, to drink ten consecutive glasses of water and eat something small. Sure enough, he did have trouble breathing after a while, and he did drink ten glasses of water and have a piece of toast (he had to have the last two glasses after the toast, but I said that was okay). That’s when I told him it was a digestive aid. He kicked me in the knee, but I was still laughing because a few minutes later, he ran to the bathroom to take a piss, and would probably do that quite a bit for the rest of the day... Hah.
