OK, in this egg I will show and tell you how to easily make a (LETHAL!!)blow gun.
WARNING: When properly used this can be extremely deadly and lethal, so be CAREFUL. I don’t want to be blamed for causing a murder. Another thing, I’m almost sure that this is considered a weapon in all states so well ummm careful who you tell.
I have searched RottenEggs for another blow gun egg (Expecting to see lots). I found a similar one, but it was for a small hand held one. I also found one with only about 5 lines of explanation. So I did not copy this from any website or egg.
Anyways to start off lets go get the tools and materials needed. For starters you will need super glue or tape. Then you will need to get a razor and pencil. This will all be for the darts at the end, so I guess you don’t need this yet.
You will also need some sort of drilling tool such as a drill(Obviously) or a dremel tool.
For this I will use a dremel with a drilling tool and sanding cylinder.
For a mouth piece you could use anything shaped so your mouth could have an airtight (Or close to it) seal. I am going to use the top off a Red Zone Body Spray canister. Wash it out or you will be coughing and hacking for hours after use because of the smell.
Sorry no pictures, but you will also need a few
Post-It notes (Depending on how many darts). Another thing that you will need is dowel. I suggest using anthing under 3/16. Just don’t make it too small otherwise it will shatter on contact of a wall...Hmmm now that I think about it that would be cool... And to secure the mouth piece use hot glue becasue it is powerful and will provide an airtight seal. And lastly you will need to buy/find tubing 3/4 of an inch thick or less. PVC works well, but I have found that metal tubing has less friction. When you are looking for this tubing, keep this in mind: The longer that the tube is, the more accurate the shot will be. Through experimentation I have found that anything under 4 feet is too unaccurate. If you find this make sure that there is nothing inside of the tube.
Well now to build this beast. I started with making the gun by first drilling a hole in the mouth piece and then sanding it open to the size of the tube. (Lots of guess and check. Do this carefully and be patient cause once it gets too big it is hard to fix.)
When you believe it is properly sized, fit it onto the tube and leave about 1/2 of an inch of tube inside the mouth piece (Red Zone cap in this case)
Once it is properly fitted, use GENEROUS amounts of hot glue to secure the cap. When I was done I had about 1/4 inch deep glue.
Well now we are done with the gun so lets get to making the darts. Get your dowel and some sort of saw. Although I show a saw, I found the razor (If it is sharp) works well enough. I made each of my darts 6 inches long. You experiment for yourself to find the best size for you. (Longer = More Accurate)
Ok now sharpen one side to a tip with the razor. An electric sharpener works well also.
Now we need to make the cone on the back. This is where you will use the Post-It notes. First take the sticky side and roll it so it is inside. Now take the super glue and glue it so it stays solid and will not come unraveled. Just remember when rolling this, do not roll too tight. The large open end should be just about the same size as your tube.
At this point you should be able to drop it into the tube, but it should not go all the way through or stick way out.
If it does don’t worry. If you have half a brain you have realized that you need to trim it. (Unless it is too small, then you need to remake the cone.) Now take the cone, place it in the tube and take your pencil and mark where the cone is tight on the tube.
Then just cut it with the razor at the point where the mark is.
This is what the finsished product should look like.
Now do this a few times to make a few darts to add to your arsenal. These 10 darts took me about 20 minutes to make and the gun about 10.

OK well I know this wasn’t original, but I was bored and decided to make a blow gun and then thought I should put it on RE. If you are going to rate me low please give a legitimate reason because it took me something like 2 hours to make the Egg. (Taking pictures, had to sign up for the photo site, then type it out and correct it so it looked good.)

You should check out my (only) egg on blowguns, it’s about a simple gas 1 me and my friends came up with, it shoots about 200 meters.
I’m so sick of all the crappy fuckin eggs about "put needle in a cotton ball put in straw and shoot" crap.
Try experimenting instead of using the same ammo, I hammer the ends of wire flat and snip corners off, along with a few others. This is the real blowgun you want. 5*

Apr 22, 2006 5:08 pm - well nomorewednesday, i was shooting it inside the house and i put one a good 3 inches into a plaster wall. this was from about 20 feet away. my friend made a suggestion to tip the darts with metal but im not sure if it would effect the performance.
